It's amazing to consider this is not on a Dylan album.

Beautiful song...from what I have seen and heard through his music...he wanted to love and be loved...that love that lasts forever... I don't know Bob Dylan personally so this is a shot in the dark...he for sure was tested by many women while on the Road and temptations got the better of him....to be able to write such loving words he had to know true love...don't misunderstand cheating is not ok under any circumstances...but the lifestyle was put front and center of women who wanted him to help his career, others probably wanted his name and to share his fame, but, I bet there was one whose heart broke when it was time to say goodbye...she would have been the one to hold him and whisper we can fix this...that woman, I believe is in his Heart forever and the others never made his heart skip a beat with a mere kiss on his cheek...
So, now that I have analyzed Bob Dylan and by the way probably wrong...lol... I hope someone he loves and respects, trusts and listens to tells him he is still handsome, talented and yes, the women will still chase around the World for a chance to be that forever love, she want need you but she will want you, she'll be fragile sometimes and she'll have to be strong too...she will be content to be wherever you are, she will be your biggest fan but not afraid to be critical in a loving way, she would want to be included in your life and not just in songs...Be Happy and loved...

This song did not deserve to die unborn. Very very sad. Only Dylan knows why he didn't finish it. No use asking him. All he would say is "I just lost interest in it. It was going nowhere. I moved on." As if that answers anything. What happened is he just gave up on it. Maybe he had better songs he was working on and this got lost.
