I remember when I was young I was only 2 years old and my brother was 12 years old my mom was 25 years old, my dad would come home and start to hit my mom. and hit me across the face, and pinned my brother acrossed the wall. when I started to get older I started to see my mom with marks on herself, so I asked her what was that , she said oh honey its nothing. but one night at 2:00am in the morning I herd my mom yell and I opened the door and my dad was betting the SHIT OUT OF MY MOM!!!!!!!!! I was scared, did not know what to do, so I woke up my brother and we got some help, but as soon as we got help, my mom was lying across the ground, I thought she was dead,but she was not, we got to the hospital and the doctor told us, she has a herniated disk, and broken bones. she needs time to rest. but she was getting better! but later in my life I herd my friend was in the hospital, I thought she was sick, but instead she overdosed, and the doctors she could not make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!, her parents would abuse her, so the only thing that she thought that would make it better was, ending her life. I was broken, me and her spent our whole life together, she was there through all of my he'll, and I was there through all of her he'll. I just wanna say "Samantha, I LOVE U SO FUCKEN MUCH!!!!! I just wanna say ur the bestest friend, sister family I ever had, R.I.P. BABY GIRL!!!

I commented years ago, I had collected 2 years of sobriety, I thought all was well, but I forgot that what I had is a disease that needs to be checked. I relapsed. It started small, but I got back to right where I left off and grew ten times worse. I did so many things I regret and I should have died 4 times but I’m still here. This song brings the message to me in a new light. I’m now in a recovery program and I’ve got 8 months now of true sobriety. This disease is poison, I can’t take it away but I can do what is necessary to give myself and those around me a better future. Thank you for making this song bro

As an old man now, I still feel so ashamed for thing I know realistically I could not have stoped. I remember being pushed against walls and being beaten with electrical cords or anything else in reach. I remember being held down on my parents bed. My dad used to sell me to strangers for speed. Fuck having a childhood, Didn't even have a normal infancy. I remember pretending to be numb, swearing that I would not give them the satisfaction of crying. I remember them getting annoyed at my lake of response and doing increasingly worse and worse things. I failed my self and screamed after that. Im still screaming inside, even after all these years. I can't have men touch me with out me freaking out. I spent more on my twenty and thirty trowing away money for numbing meds and alcohol. I will never be able to have children because of an incident involving boiling water. I've gone through so much of my life with out medical care take my doctors say there is little they can do. I want to die every day. and I've almost tried, but I keep pushing out. Blood reminds me of my childhood, pills remind me of my dad's drugs, ropes remind me of being tied to the ground and now theres just shooting my self.They ruined me. There are real monsters in this world.

You help more people then you think, my daughter has so much to live for but all these things going on is hurting her dearly ,but trust me no one would be able to know what's she going through she won't even tell me hopefully she reached out to you bmike, she talks about your music alot. 💓😊.

Alcoholism runs deep on my mother and fathers side,i started drinkin at 14yrs old up untill i was 24 i had a 1year old son at the time and we lost his mother in a car accident its ashame it took loseing someone i loved so dearly to realize i needed to make a change for myself and for my son,hes 9years old now and i have almost 9 years sober! I now have things i never thought i would a great govenment job a car and as of 2 weeks ago a place my son can finalley call (HOME)

Damn.. mama was an alcoholic and she changed.. for the longest she wasn’t that way, but then she went downhill.. passed about 3 to 4 years ago.. always argued and fought with her, honestly thought drinking wasn’t as bad till she died..

This is why I left him so my son wouldn’t grow up with these issues. He was an alcoholic abusive fiancé. It is hard but you can do it! 💕💪🏻
