Not a huge fan of theirs-preferred Oasis myself-but this is brilliant.

To me the mark of an excellent songwriter and band is that anything new they come up with has the comforting familiarity of the things they have already done, yet they still manager to be different each time. Blur do this every single time. Damon is a proper national treasure and anyone who doesn't think so is a fool. This man is a living legend and such a true and amazing artist. I have adored him since I was 11 when I saw him perform There's No Other Way on a children's TV show all those years ago. I am now 40 and he has been with me all the way, through good and bad and I just adore him, I can't say it any other way. <3

I also believe this was meant to be the last Blur release, but I kind of feel like we’ll get more after The Magic Whip. Surely they can’t end on Mirrorball/Y’all Doomed.

I saw the live in Mexico a few years ago, I was 14 and singing this song along them touched my very soul. It was amazing.

The "westway" gets mentioned so many times in songs does it mean something.. Like horse does. Or cockroach.

I love the Westway, an excellent peace of M road that never became part of the inner motorway box like it deserved... many time's I've graced it's ramps carting me away from Euston Road far away from the City or genitally depositing me into Euston Road conveniently connected to most of London.

When my daughter was 6, her class had a little lip sync competition going. The other kids all brought in their current pop radio hit staples, my daughter sang this song. I don't think the other children or teacher new what to make of this. She didn't win the competition, but everyone reading this comment knows she really did. So proud.

I first heard it five years ago when it first came out, while stuck in an airport alone. I listened to it on repeat. Gave me a warm feeling.

I was leaving for home first and my then girlfriend left for another city. We were happy then. Little did I know it'll be the last time I see her. I hope she is well and happy now.
Glad I found this song again. Nice memories.

This band always captures the mood. well above those egomaniatic mancs called : oasis, in my expectations. Something that I learned listening to the mighty John Peel, for over 25 years ; before he sadly passed away, back in November 4th 2004. Such a waste of talent. Sadly missed by many, many people. I think that Blur should re-release this song, with a few changes to the lyrics, for all those from the sad, brutal extermination of innocent families, from Grenfel towers. From a band that grew up around there. It would be a beautiful connection to all those people, especially the ones that are no longer here. Justice for Grenfel towers.

Could've fitted on The Great Escape nicely.  Superb song.

Trying not to sound pompous, but I love the greatest popular music ever made - The Beatles, The Hollies, Buddy Holly, Badfinger, CSN, The Beach Boys, Big Star to name but a few. And let me tell you; Blur are the only 'modern' band who come close to the classic era of music.
