Blur - Movin' On Lyrics

At the music heist
I met the gourmet man
With aluminium lungs
Who sucks out all he can

He sees the whole world go flip
In a stunt bug style
'Cause he's a parasite
With a cellulite pile
But he can smile

'Cause this is the music
Movin' on, we're movin' on
Hey, this is the music
Movin' on, we're movin' on

With sticky eyes and sticky bones
You get no time on your own
You get a dose and a ghost
You get it coast to coast

Now you dye your hair black
Get "Satan" tattooed on your back
You pierce yourself with a coke can
And rub yourself in fake tan
Now you're in a band

'Cause this is the music
Movin' on, we're movin' on
Hey, this is the music
Movin' on, we're movin' on

No matter how low,
There's always further to go
Movin' on, we're movin' on
No matter how low,
There's always further to go
Movin' on, we're movin' on

It won't be long, we're movin' on

So, hey, this is the music
Movin' on, we're movin' on
Hey, this is the music
Movin' on, we're movin' on

No matter how low,
There's always further to go
We're movin' on, we're movin' on
No matter how low,
There's always further to go
We're movin' on, we're movin' on

This song gives me heavy Bugman vibes :)

Great Rock song, one of their best. '97, what a year. Such a great time, so much crap has happened since one can barely remember on what a magical era it truly was.

What a perfect last song before the last song

I like how Strange News from Another Star seems like it would be the final song of the album, but then it strangely transitions into this hard-rocking piece. And the album doesn't even end there. Next is a 6-minute epic rock-dub-whatever song. And even after that, there's still an instrumental bonus song that plays afterwards. Finally, the album is finished.

Except on the American version, which has yet another full-blown song, between Essex Dogs and the hidden interlude. Geez...

This should have been a single. I feel like it would have done really well in the US.

    death of a party too

the whole album should of done really well in the US but only Song 2 did

Eh. . . I love this song, but I think if I heard it as many times as I did "Song 2," I probably wouldn't be so into it. . . first couple times I heard "Song 2" I found it entertaining, but the stations played it out for me. . .I suppose this is at least more complex than "Song 2," so perhaps it would've taken longer, but I'm sure eventually I'd grow at least ambivalent of "Movin' On." The problem with singles (in at least the US,) is the stations pick one, (or maybe two of them,) and if they're desirable to their audience they play them everyday, on a list that plays in a loop endlessly, until the next single tops the charts. Repetition is fine in moderation, but after so many years of it, most Blur fans (who were at least slightly entertained with it to begin with,) got quite sick of hearing "Song 2" everyday.

@Thr33LastWords I hate listening to radio not necessarily because I'm not a fan of the music, but because they repeat songs waaaayyyyy too often.
