No.The band started out as Seymour in 1989 but changed Blur the year after.I only discovered Blur through listening to Gorillaz.Gorillaz didn't come around musically until two years after this album.

N dela Paz I understand there might be a generation gap but... honey... long before Gorillaz there existed a wonderful band called Blur :) I hope by now you have at least tried out some of Blur’s music. It’s worth it.
