Blue Oyster Cult - True Confessions Lyrics
True, true confessions, I lied
True, true confessions, I lied
Spent all night with candy's eyes
Dragged myself cross the warm blind side
Spent all night with candy's eyes
True, true confession, she cried
True, true confession, she cried
Stand in the doorway in a jealous rage
Drag myself cross her wild terrain
Stand in the doorway in a jealous rage
Drag myself cross her wild terrain
True, true confessions, we tried
True, true confessions, we tried
Perfect as strangers, imperfect as love
Naked, exposed like fine rock-n-roll
Perfect as strangers, imperfect as love
We're never sorry, we're never sad
We're modern lovers, what fun we had

Allen was so talented! Rest in peace!
I can't tell if the solo is all guitar or if there is a sax in there.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
awesome tune
Love the sax in this.
Very different... but very good
Not quite there usual Style but I still like it the song works for me
I got the vinyl of agents of fortune and this song never wants to work.
My Steve Miller Band Fly like an Eagle used to play,."We"re gonna put a pretty dress on,"over and over on Dance dance dance..Kinda embarrassing in those heady drug filled days,

this klingt heel als Young American-lijk David Bowie, Blue Öyster Cult hat wirkelijk allt gespild, and altijd well!
This is so Mott The Hoople. Imagine Ian Hunter singing this.
it also reminds me of Young Americans-era Bowie, which stands quite close to Mott the Hopple
No coincidence that they co-wrote a song with Hunter on their next album.
Mick Ronson played with Mott & Bowie. He co-wrote stuff too.
alan lanier rocks!
The guys in Blue Oyster Cult (and the musicians and writers they associated themselves with) were about foot smarter than any of their peers.

alan lanier rocks!
I'm trying to remember: This was the only BOC song Allen Lanier ever did lead vocal on, right?
I believe so. But if you've got the time, you can wiki each album by name and at the bottom of the page it will list each track, it's composer and vocalist.
unless you count the demo of Dance the Night Away
Yes, for a release. He also sang “Please Hold”, which is an added track to Specters re-release I believe.
written and sung by Allen Lanier. one of my favorite BOC tunes

God, I love this track!
Spectres is better too
For me Secret treaties is better
Wow, brings back memories of girls with big titties, good weed, and cruising around in my Chevrolet.
I was in the back seat, remember me?
my favorite BOC song
RIP Allen.
really? he sounds a lot like the singer on most other songs of theirs
Odd because Allen's song here as vocalist makes it a full count of 5 leads .. all sounding different to each other.
I saw them last night and Buck sang this one as a tribute to Allen. It didn't sound incredibly different from Allen singing it.
Only Allen sung tune on a record release. And I agree he does sort of sound like it could be one of the Bouchard brothers singing. But it’s Allen
Sorry to hear Allen died. He was amazing, and will really be missed.
RIP Allen Lanier. Saw Allen play a few times and was really blown away by his skills on the axe as well as keys. One of the greats has passed!
RIP Allen. Great song. He brought a different influence to BOC's music. Kick ass keyboard player and no slouch on guitar either. I'll miss you Allen. I got to see you perform for 30+ years and I will always cherish those great shows. Long live BOC.
Allen Lanier, keyboardist for Blue Oyster Cult, passed away yesterday {August 14th, 2013} at the age of 67 from pulmonary disease...
He was a founding member of the group and sang lead on "True Confessions"...
May he R.I.P.
RIP Allen Lanier
RIP and don't fear the reaper, Allen...
RIP Allen.
Allen also wrote "Searchin' For Celine," "Tenderloin," "In Thee" and "Lonely Teardrops"
I think it's 'naked exposed, like fine rock n roll'
gaaah I'm still in love with this song
What a cool song. BOC are SO UNDERRATED.
RotnRoll77 not by us!
peaking that expression that I long forgot Thax I got drop soon
love this song! has a different feel to it <3
They dont sound to good there days...Eric bloom has lost his satanic fire!
Nov. 18, they will be back in Las Vegas and I got my tickets.I can't really afford it but,can you ever Regret seeing BOC?
What a superb album...
My fave BOC album.
Agents of Fortune is, without doubt, one the great albums of the age!
@nucleardude11
Where is he now...hasn't played with them in a few years.
'We're never sorry, we're never sad we're modern lovers, what fun we've had.' Sounds a bit sociopathic
Best B.O.C. ever! Every damn song on the album ROCKS! Summer of Love is one of my all time faves.
This song is about serial murder, it just is if you really listen to the lyrics and how it is couple with this ain't the summer of love and then don't fear the reaper it is a sinister triplet of songs on this fairly lighter b.o.c. record
Prove it
Despite what I've heard and read about Allen's vocal "shortcomings" (which they are NOT) - this is a solid vocal. He sounds a lot like Keith Richards. I wonder if there's an out-take version of "In Thee" or "Mes Dames Sarat" or "Searchin' For Celine" with Allen on lead vocals. He's got his own unique style that fits perfectly with this solid groove.
"Make it explode like fine Rock n Roll?? Naked, explode like fine Rock N roll"? "Naked explodes like fine Rock N Roll"?? Good grief...this LP had the strangest lyrics...!

Just an Awesome album every song !!! Thank You
