Blood, Sweat & Tears - Somethin' Comin' On Lyrics

Something coming on, don't know what it is but it's getting stronger
Feeling in my bones, hope you let it last a little bit longer
Breaking out my head, doing things I never even dreamed of
Rolling up my spine, turning on the things that'd never been turned on
Suddenly she came in
Looked like she'd been gaming
Doing things with everybody else
When I called out loud
She answered from the crowd
That she'd spend her life upon the shelf

Something coming on, don't know what it is but it's getting stronger
I've got a feeling in my bones, and I hope you let it last a little bit longer
Breaking out my head, I've been doing things I never even dreamed of
Well, rolling up my spine, turning on my things that'd never been turned on

Talk about the woman

Suddenly she came in
Looked like she'd been gaming
Doing things with everybody else
When I called out loud
She answered from the crowd
That she'd spend her life upon the shelf

Blood, Sweat & Tears Somethin' Comin' On Comments

Went to see them in concert, only to learn when they came onstage that DCT had left the band. They had some replacement who looked like an idiot trying to put his own stamp on Clayton-Thomas' work. It was 20 years later I finally caught DCT in a small club with a different backup band, and he was better than the original band with a replacement singer.

  6. P.... N....

Got it on Rockbuster LP with Arnie Schwarzenegger on the cover - bought for 2 Euro in the Netherlands almost 20 years ago. What a jazzy composition!

  7. T.... ....

    GREAT album

  8. m.... m....

I saw BS&T in concert in 1970 or 71.  They were superb.

    m.... m....

I wish I saw this concert, but infortunately I was born in december 1970 !

  9. P.... M....

I saw them at chances R also. I went the next day and bought this album. It holds up and there is no comparison with any other band now or then.

I have to agree with you about the length of time each band enjoyed their success, but in the old days, I liked Chicago better and now I just can't get enough of BS&T. They are more compelling to hear than Chicago, at least to my ears Since there are no counterparts in today's music, viva BS&T and Chicago.

    s.... t....

we live in ms., ... both great groups to lisen to the;)o;)

  11. H.... ....

Interesting that we oldies fight over who was better, BS&T or Chicago. What saddens me is that this jazz/rock genre has no representatives today. Sure wish we were arguing over 2 or 3 current bands rather than a couple from 40 years ago. Anyway, for the record, I enjoy them both, but neither held up well for very long.

I just heard the Woodstock version this song. WOW! these guys are on it big time. Everything was very enjoyable to hear! Almost sounded like the album. Not much difference, except for the time they spent playing!Excellent effort!!!!

  13. s.... t....

This is a great rendition of a cover tune!!!

  14. s.... t....

This is a great album by a talented band. I remember that they were so good, I would buy their music as soon as I heard a new album was out. They earned their reputation. I really enjoy listening to this band!

  15. j.... ....

No way can Pankow match Dave Bargeron when he join the band for the 4th album,Pankow couldn't even match Fred Wesley or Mic Gillette from Tower.

  16. b.... ....

I feel a seasoned jazz in BS&T Chicago does not have the raw power although they have a great sound, BS&T was special in TIME

    b.... ....

I love both bands, but when you say Chicago does not have the Raw power. Listen to some songs from the Chicago Transit Authority album. They had raw power smokin guitar and attitude.

    b.... ....

@Rocky B yeah great for one album. Soon they lost the magic and became a shell of their selves.

  17. T.... ....

A great song, dazzling organ solo

  18. M.... C....

Blood Sweat and Tears blazed a trail that only a select few could follow.

  19. M.... C....

B, S &T was more polished than Chicago, both were signed to the Columbia label by James William Guarcio who produced Santana as well.Columbie records was a powerhouse during this time

    M.... C....

Chicago always had that loose/sloppy thing going on live.... Never held up to BS&T and especially TOP.

  20. M.... C....

ironically, The late Late Laura Nyro wrote many of B, S o

  21. R.... M....

Im 18 years old in a heavy metal band, and the first two BS&T albums are my main inspirations. Noone has song structure quite like them, and DCT blows my mind.

  22. h.... ....

one of the great bands !! ~

  23. D.... M....

During the late 1960's to early 1970's, for some reason, "Chicago" got more publicity and radio air time than BS&T. BS & T deserved more recognition for their Rock/Jazz fusion.
