Blood, Sweat & Tears - Got To Get You Into My Life Lyrics

I was alone, I took a ride, I didn't know what I would find there
Another road where maybe I could find another kind of mind there
Ooo, then I suddenly see you
Ooo, did I tell you I need you
Every single day of my life

You didn't run, you didn't lie, you know I wanted just to hold you
And had you gone, you knew in time we'd meet again for I had told you
Ooo, you were meant to be near me
Ooo, and I want you to hear me
Say we'll be together every day
Got to get you into my life

What can I do, what can I be, when I'm with you I want to stay there
If I'm true I'll never leave and if I do I know the way there
Ooo, then I suddenly see you
Ooo, did I tell you I need you
Every single day of my life
Got to get you into my life, got to get you into my life

I was alone, I took a ride, I didn't know what I would find there
Another road where maybe I could find another kind of mind there
Ooo, you know I need my baby
Ooo,you know I need my baby
Don't say "I'll see you"
Did I tell you that I need you
Every single day

+Harry G. Why, yes. I have heard of Tower of Power. Heard them and BS&T live on any number of occasions. Enjoyed them both. BS&T has the better horn licks, much more solid sound. I am speaking musically, of course.

The original version of this song by The Beatles had the Blood Sweat And Tears and Chicago sound three years before those bands got big.

In an interview, Walt Parazaider said it was this song that inspired him to form a band (Chicago) with the horns as an integral part of the arrangements, not figures that were tacked on, that the song could be performed without.

Also, when asked the difference between the bands, a member of BS&T said, "Chicago is a rock band that plays jazz, and we're a jazz band that plays rock". Pretty accurate description, I think.

    r.... ....

I thought it probably did influence Chicago.

Got To Get You Into My Life úžasná cover verzia piesne Beatles v podaní jazz rockovej skupiny BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARTS vytvorenej v New Yorku v lete 1968 Al Kooperom spev, klavesy a Steve Katzom gitara a spev. Album New City nahrala zostava Bobby Colomby bicie jediný zakladajúci člen, Dave Bargeron trombon, Joe Gorgianni trubka, Tony Klatka trubka, George Wadenius gitara, Ron McClure basová gitara, Larry Willis organ jediný černoch a Bill Tillman saxofon.

  36. c.... ....

You just cannot find a bad track by EW&F. One of the best bands out of the best decade of American music. They go for broke on every single song -- what a lot of heart.

  37. P.... M....

i like it better than the Beatles version by a long shot!!!

  38. f.... ....

BS&T, One of the best band 1969, and I still listen to it often, as well as Chicago, I'm 63 old , and today's so called R&B ,rap , & other BS , compared to the who, Yardbirds Police, Procol harum,Pink Flyod, & so on & so on, these bands had something musical as well as lyrics to say, today????, they just pick up this or that on existing tracks, that's not what I call creation

    f.... ....

    The sixties were incredible!!

  39. B.... ....

    HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
