Blondie - The Attack Of The Giant Ants Lyrics
Giant ants from space snuff the human race
Then they eat your face, never leave a trace
La la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la
They shoot fire all around. Tokyo burns down
Everybody drowns. The moon falls on the ground
They can't be stopped at all. The buildings start to fall
Soldiers shoot all day and then they run away
La la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la
The world is holocaust. Everything is lost
Mankind is destroyed. Sprinkled in the void
La la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la
Giant ants from space waste the human race
La la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la

Great end track to this album :)
The giant ant noise is actually quite scary.
"Mankind is destroyed....sprinkled in Des Moines....lalalalala!"
I always thought she said "sprinkled in the void"
I thought "sprinkled in the void" too, but I am not all that concerned either way.
You were right the first time. Dean b is kidding.
La La LA LAAAAAA
This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. And it's not just the drums (I'm a drummer) and Debbie Harry's singing. I also think it's so cool when songs have opposing sounds and lyrics. Like the story is about the human race being destroyed but it sounds so happy. It's a bit like Artificial Flowers. Without their lyrics both songs would sound happy and celebratory but the stories they tell are much to the contrary.
This is one of my top 3 Blondie songs, I love how she sounds like a joyful schoolgirl.
It was a special treat on that album, I liked it a lot too.
Debbie should cover Mossura (Mothra).
The Attack Of The Giant Ants - Blondie [New York City, New York] - 1976 - "A gloriously trashy homage both to cheap drive-in movies and gimmicky old pop singles,...sounds like the Shangri-Las doing a novelty tie-in single for a new Godzilla movie,...sounds like she's having a blast describing scenes of planetary destruction," - Blondie [Bonus Tracks] [Import] (Toshiba EMI Japan)-2006. NOTE: The Japanese import is the best in sound quality. :-)
