Blondie - Horizontal Twist Lyrics

great blondie track should have been on the album instead of a bonus track wasted there is a lot to love on this album but they should have squeezed this one in.

This is a true Blondie Classic. Why the heck it wasn't released as the lead single from the album I just don't understand. It would have been a huge hit. Everything about it says Paaarrrttyyyyy! Imagine the video they could have done to go along with it. Never too late for it to be a hit, it just needs picking up in a tv advert somewhere or someone relevant today will do a good cover and they will have a hit with it? iMO "Panic of girls", with all the bonus tracks at the time, is their best album so far. ....now TWIST!!!

I have to say I really like some of the influences on this album except for the song Words In My Mouth. Which ruined the whole album for me. A slow song plocked in the middle of a good flowing album. What I Heard, Horizontal Twist and Mirame where the fucking show stoppers the best songs on this album.I really can't believe the latter two where bonus tracks and not part of the album tracks (what the fuck where thney thinking very odd).Which is unbelievable by any stretch of the imagination. I think Debbie & Chris have become in the past 10 years ignorant when it comes to other artist in the band who are writing just as good ""well dare I say.. even better songs that have a bigger potential to be chart hits but are never considered in the end. It could really make a big difference to their output and success . Please no more ethnic influences as such. Just  a rock solid Blondie album would cure every fucking thing before they bow out. It's what the fans are waiting so don't fuck it up as Rupaul would say.

What's wrong with Words in my mouth as a track.

Just awful. Except for Rave and Mile High played live both had such potential but Rave and Mile High on the album dear god, these two standouts got turned into computerised drivel. Really what was the point. For a 40th mile stone album it was dire.

this song is great. of course its a 'bonus track' so someone who didnt buy the special edition unwittingly shortchanged himself. really - this and 'mirame' are my favorite songs on the CD! (I DID get the edition w/ the bonus songs). why do they do this? there are some songs that SUCK, as with ALL of blondie's last 3 ("china shoes", that dumb "poppy, poppy" song, etc) but this song, as great as it is, is a 'bonus'.....whatever.
