I could add this comment to every BP song, they will forever be my favourite band of all time. I cannot see me ever loving anyone else anywhere near as much. Discovered aged 16 and 14 years later barely a day goes by I don't put a tune on here or cd or record I've a vast collection. Have 2 albums signed too : ) they've several songs to suit any mood too perfect !!

This is not an official album - in fact it's not an album at all - it's simply a collection of all the b sides and bonus tracks taken from material related to the album 'A Weekend in the City'. Wikipedia mentions all these songs if you check out the singles section of the discography related to 'AWitC'.

I bought my copy of 'AWitC' before the release of Flux so my homemade album features 13 tracks as listed below all purchased as 7" vinyl and CD singles but I've also included their bonus-track origins. My track listing simply follows the chronological release of the singles. Only 'Vision of Heaven' was not included as a b side.

Personally I don't know what all the fuss is about, I also have an album called 'Two More Years' which includes all pre and contemporary 'Silent Alarm' material and another called 'One More Chance' which features non-album music from 2007-12 put together from contemporary hard-copy purchases and digital downloads.

Why have I just heard about this? This should've been a separate album.

Matt is not coming back. He quit for personal reasons. And us fans and of course the band must accept it. Otherwise we're being selfish. If he doesn't want to be in Bloc Party anymore then let it be. They'll be fine without him. Don't know how their new drummer will adapt and even if they'll have the right chemistry. It'll be alright, Drew. Let's just wish Matt the best and cherish the great albums they made.

They're one of my all-time favorite Indie Rock Bands...their debut is still the best they've released...I'm not totally into the new band members...the latest release was not impressive

We all wish Matt the best. It's like seeing Henry leave Arsenal, Federer leave tennis, Churchill leave parliament. Should we just forget? No.

One the best bands in 10 yrs. Kinda bummed Matt left. Hope they keep rockin'. I love their music

And unfortunately within the last four years that they haven't came out with a new album they have been concentrating on side solo projects so I feel like they haven't been able to concentrate on their group as a whole plus one of their founding members Matt left. I mean Kelly made a solo album The Boxer which I felt was pretty weak I liked one track maybe 2 and I bought that Deluxe Edition and I was not pleased I was honestly disappointed

I would say it's all up in the air. They still have to either convince Matt to join back, find a good enough replacement (which will upset a lot of people) and form new songs they feel are good enough to produce - I can see this new album taking a long time to produce. This could be good, or bad as far as the outcome. SA was perfect, AWITC was great, Intimacy wasn't good for me, and Four was a good album. They've hit almost every rock spectrum I would expect from them, so it's a matter of how time has given them the experience and ideas to create another great album.

You know what's weird? On Spotify, somehow, BP released a new song "Bloc Party - Bloc Party EP" like weeks ago, but for some reason, I didn't find anything on the internet, not even from BP's Twitter/FB pages(only a forum discussing it). So I think that Spotify made a mistake with the song, it sounds is only like a background instrumental for a movie or something, obviously the sound doesn't "fit" with the BP I'm used to. I hope that BP don't do another experimental album, instead, stick together with the old Bloc Party...

I saw that on reddit! It was like some weird elevator music. I think most people just saw it as a mistake that wasn't resolved. (I hope that isn't a taste of things to come haha)
