Bloc Party. - Little Thoughts Lyrics
Been thinking little thoughts
Keep on walking try to stay up
Pay Attention to the details
We go slowly, slowly down
Been thinking little thoughts
Pay Attention to the details
We go slowly, down
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask me
This world ain't just m, m, m, made of facts
Every half hour is a countdown
If it's 'cause of my age then you're a coward
If it's 'cause of my age then you're a coward
If it's 'cause of my age then you're a coward
I haven't got the guts to stand alone
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll Go back, b, b, b, Backwards
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask
I'll go back if you ask me
I'll go back if you ask me
I'LL GO BACK B, B, B, BACKWARDS!

What a great song full stop...period...end of story...nuff said!
This song is still incredible
Just saw them play silent alarm front to back last night, this one was awesome live
Can you go "back" to this era of Bloc Party, Kele? :-((((
Bootcut jeans 😂
Matt Tong's a beast
They played this in Manchester the other day and it was beautiful 😊
And this was the song/video that got me massively into Bloc Party back in 04 and changed my life forever!
Este disco es una joya, de mis favoritos, nunca me canso de escucharlo , lástima que ya solo están 2 de ellos en la banda 😪
The early 2000s we're just something else.
I'm not just speaking because of nostalgia, it is that the air had a fragrance, the world sounded different.....from car engines to the slangs and language people used, to the sound of hustling leaves in the parks, to the cell phones.
Everything was good back then.
remember Bloc Party as the last cool band that late John Peel introduced me to. With this track in particular, back in the summer of 2004. I couldn't believe what i heard, I was obsessed with it at the time. And I still am I suppose
2019 brought me here
2019 brought me here
one of the best indie pop songs ever written...FACT!! ;) x

It's the sound of the 2000s that I miss alot
Its cause, you'll go back if they ask you.
Nostalgia, the good old days :´(
it has that feel of "past" i dont know how to put it in the words lol
@JPGKid yeeeeeessssss
This has to be the greatest guitar work of any song I’ve ever heard. Lyrics don’t make sense but the bass (guitar) is unreal.
They played this in sydney. Almost balled my eyes out.
Still a great song
Saw them playing that gem yesterday...
WE NEED A UPLOAD OF THE VIDEO
Everyone of Bloc Party's songs Witchitarecordings aint on spotify :/
Why is this not on any streaming site? It breaks my heart. I love this too much
Mi adolescencia fue lo mejor escuchando esta música
Trust me, your not the only one
That ending always gets me.
Hideo Kojima as Drummer ?
Looking great song.
Editing at its peak but seriously this band is to underrated it’s really good
Weird to see Kele, well anyone in bloc party, without a telecaster.
Short story: I used to get high and play Guitar Hero with one of my homies. There was a song by Bloc Party, which I dug, so I went and downloaded the whole discography on a torrent (yes, I was a baller). I had an old "scrolly wheel" I-pod at the time, which held 20 gigs of music. I remember the day: fucking around on I-tunes, trying to find new music I wanted to listen to out of my giant music collection I illegally downloaded from torrents (yes, I was, and still am a baller). I saw Bloc Party and I was like "why not?" I picked the "Tulips EP" because my I-pod was almost full of music already, and it was only two songs long, and I hadn't really listened to any Bloc Party other hearing their song on Guitar Hero... One day (while on one of my many random adventure-journeys) I was playing my I-pod on shuffle, and the Tulips EP popped up, and I was like "wow, that was jammy af", so I listened to it on repeat for like 3 days straight. Then I was like "this band is the shit!", so I went and put a bunch more Bloc Party on my I-pod. Little did I know it would become the soundtrack to my life for the next 3 years. Some really "deep, reflective" times for me. Kind of like "years of self-discovery". One line in particular changed the whole course of my life...: "If I could do it again, Id climb more trees, Id pick and Id eat, more wild, blackberries..." Actually part of why I look like what I look like today (I used to be very clean cut, believe it or not). Just some deep, esoteric shit going on in my head during those times, and these songs were the perfect soundtrack for that. I'm telling you, soundtrack to my life... My friends at the time had different tastes in music, so It was kind of my "personal soundtrack" for when Id venture "to and fro their house", a good 5 miles away, walking, in the middle of the night, through various trails, forests, and shortcuts, just kind of "wandering", with only the moonlight to guide me, and Bloc Party in my ears... Kind of crazy, but also crazy awesome... Just, "those experiences" are forever engraved in who I am. Its like Bloc Party and I now have a "soul connection", and Its all because I put the silly little "Tulips EP" on my I-pod. Crazy. Those were legendary times, a lot of which "made me who I am", which, surely, can and does find its way into the world (in one way or another...) Super awesome... I doubt anybody would have anticipated such awesomeness coming out of music, but, it surely did. I will be forever grateful. Thank you Bloc Party... You are legendary in your own right. I just hope that anybody that comes after us can find similar experiences, maybe by the hands of your music. I suppose we can only hope... Until then...
Keith Koala I am seriously going through the same thing with them right now. I completely understand what you mean
the hella of a great story
can't name a single band in the charts rn who are even close to touchng bloc party.
@KubrickKing You're joking... right?
@KubrickKing m?
@KubrickKing no band not even bloc party themselves will come close to producing indie rock gems similar to the silent alarm / weekend era. the best word to describe their music this era is exuberance. i like the strokes and am but man i still think bloc party put themselves over the moon with an unmatched distinctiveness making music that surrounds you in this white energy that perfectly encapsulates what being young in the modern era is like. imo the band took the genre really way far, more so than their pioneering peers. i dont really hate the indie rock that came after their prime but most of it has slowed down and follows the mac demarco tropical trend which isnt really bad per se at least to me but with each listen of the same sounding stuff your ears grow numb to otherwise uninteresting cookie cutter tracks that are afraid to move from "deep lyrics" and bassy rhythmic rhythms (i mean lots of basslines in pop today arent melodic; bloc party isnt the anthesis but im just making the point of characterizing how much of IR is redundant nowadays) and towards frantic soundscapes of fast tempos - and i dont mean but not also criticism a la vampire weekend just any which way the music goes: bloc party paints pictures with their music and puts me in a specific mood whenever i listen to a specific track of theirs. the understanding between the connection of music and words and the purposeful display of technical proficiency and comping is why i enjoy BP more so than almost any other rock band today.
@Leif Christian Rosendo Well put, f*ck the mac demarco clone sub genre.
that drummer tho
Eleven years... Fuck!
"If it's cause my Asian, you're a coward"
* Matt plays giddily *
(Yes, I know, "If it's cause my age, then ...")
Essa é uma das musicas mais fofinhas já escritas no mundo
Bloc Party Fan since 2010.
fuck knows why they didn't put this on the album
GashHound They did
It was on the re-release of Silent Alarm, along with Two More Years. Isn't on the original version of the album.
"Small Inquiries" by Stret Get-Together (yes the one less e in street was intentional)
💚💚😍
This reminds me of Ebs and flows.. cycles of life. All good things don't last forever. All bad things must come to an end someday. I love this music!
Fucking love this band
FFFFFUUUU- I love this song!
Matt's just off in his own world jamming to this while he plays.
I love it block party here
It is hard when a good band gets broken by the egos, it is sad
First Song I heard by them, and here we are 5 albums later
Muy parecido a para siempre de becker pero aqui lo cantado es seguido y no pausan mucho
miss this bloc party 3
The songs are still there to listen to, so who gives a fuck?
When Bloc Party were skinny lads had and a more simple sound that appealed to a wide range of people.
Oh no, they changed. How awful.
rmkw4291 i feel like Bloc Party’s older songs (like this one) would be a lot better if it had a less generic structure. They used the structures too similar to each other too much
Off The Rails Kay Is all change good?
Matt Tooooong!!!!
The legend himself.
This is the best song that so many people still haven't heard.
Indeed!
Their best song by a mile and that saying something.
Please Bloc, can you go back? I am asking after all! I know it is reminiscent to dwell on tracks like these, but they were so beautiful. I miss the days where the gang were together.
I like how if you watch just the bass player it looks like he is teleporting around the room
little thots 😓
Yessss!
t up bitch
no matter what, always my favorite band.
10 years later and how I still love this song
The lyrics are so beautiful
Simply Amazing this song. I really like rock just like this!
2:41 !!!!!!!!!!!!
the Bloc Party I fell in love with,,too bad Matt and Gordon leave and the new direction of the band doesn't sound very good
This song is absolutely timeless!

+TheWulfe17 I listen to 'only he can heal me' only for the guitar
@Gregor Davidson ok
+Gregor Davidson same here 😂
best formation: kele, russel, matt and gordon
I'll never get tired of this awesome fuckin' song
+orochi1356 never ever, my favorite bloc song!
is this song targeted at students or something?
its not a bad song, just a bit boring.
I would feel that way but the drumming keeps it interesting
remember hearing this for the first time live on the steve lamaq show back in 2004. still my favourite song of theirs!
La mejor banda en su genero , me encanta :D !!!!
One of the best pop songs out there :)
7/8 at the end!
its 7/4
It's 7/8 lmao
@Bayley McNamee the tempo is around 170 bpm for this song. So that would mean it's 7/4
I am glad for some reason to not know what he means. I stupidly sing this one.
I remember watching this on MTV2 back in 2004, and I've loved Bloc Party ever since.
This is just such a great song and video. It reallyis stellar. Kudos to everyone for putting this together. Everything "works" so well here.
Such a great BP track - love the 7/4 at the end.
Amazing!
Bloc Party has amazing composition. I just wonder how Kele does it...
I'm the only one that is missing Bloc Party? Or I'm getting old.... ?
I am 4 years after this comment.
Nigga look at me😂😂😂
Both. All of us are victim of both.
Old. We all miss 2004-2010.
2020 and I'm both missing bloc party and getting old. Almost 30 :(
Nunca me canso de escuchar Bloc Party :)
Should have been a lot bigger than they were . More than hint of The Cure about them as well , and that's a good thing !
They could have been the next huge thing. Then came the whole electronic sound which Kele brought upon the band.
