Blink-182 - Waggy Lyrics
Watching your house shrink away in my rear-view mirror
As I drive away
Wishing that I could take back all those words
That meant nothing that I didn't say
To be what you want me to be
But it's so damn hard to keep playing the part
Of the fool, week after week
I think you need some time alone (I think you need some time alone)
You say you want someone to call your own
Open your eyes, you can suck in your pride
You can live your life all on your own
Is this all going to be just another time
I've tried to convince you that things could be different
But somehow they end up the same
But what
Did you expect from me? What am I supposed to do?
You say that you're starting to feel like you're getting lost
Well, I do, too
I don't wanna live this lie again (I don't wanna live this lie again)
I know I'll get it right but I don't know when
I'll open my eyes, I've got something in side
I'll just jack off in my room until then
It's never over 'til it's done
And I don't think that you're the one
It's never over 'til it's done
And I don't think that you're the one

How TF did this make the album and not "Wrecked Him".............
The part where Mark goes, “It’s never over till’ it’s done, and I don’t think that your the one”, is my favourite teen-angst ridden life-story.
This song brings up eternal heart-ache, teen-angst ridden forgotten love, turned bitter despair...
Everyone usually says Tom is the better/main vocalist, but Mark's Lyrics over the years have always been so much deeper than Toms.
This is real blink 182 today blink 182 suck
Gotta admit the ending of this song is fucking sick! @2:55
One of a few albums I can listen to start to finish. Favorite song hands down
I bought this CD with a gift certificate to Tower Records that I got for Xnas of 1997. Thanks aunt Tracey!
Has anyone heard the Colleen Green cover of the entire Dude Ranch album? It came up last week. She does a great job with this song.
Really is fantastic!
The only 3 bands i could never grow out of are Blink 182, Nofx, The Lawrence Arms
Always get a UL vibe from this, great fuckin song

Tom, Travis and mark. 2019
My favorite song in dude ranch album
The year was 1999. I loved Beth Klien, she sat in front of me in 6th grade math class. This album is still in my regular rotation. Thank you portable CD players and blink-182
Ah, memories of when music was half decent! this came out when I was 61 years young. age 83 now. songs sure make me feel old
Damn your sick I wish my grandpa listened to blink
I don't mean it Ina bad way
That’s sick! My grandpas the same. He knows the guys from korn (even though I never listened to their music) lol. He’s seen Rolling Stones, bob Marley, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Marylyn Manson, hole....and a shit ton more!! He never got
Best punk rock album ever made. Change my mind.
No lulls in this album. Every single second of it is excellent.
Dude Ranch 6-10 best shit ever.
Best song on this album
I'm trying
To be what you want me to be
But it's so damn hard to keep playing the part
Of the fool, week after week
This album was my personal favorite in high school before my big switch to metal, with this song being my favorite. 20 years later, I “chilled” out on only listening to heavy stuff, and this song still resonates. That’s when you know an album or a song is special, after 5 years it is still decent, this song is still amazing in 2018.
Hey blink fans! Check out my instrumental acoustic version of Waggy (my favorite blink-song) ——> https://youtu.be/Us6nNJLim4U
Best song of theirs easily.
2017 and I'm still jacking off in my room until then
2018 and still going. Wonder when i'm gonna stop. Hopefully never.
Open your eyes, you can suck in your pride, you can live your life all on your own.
Songs like this mean nothing... until they do :/
That's true with everything. Anything can mean nothing to you until you learn the meaning. Some songs straight up actually don't mean shit though lol.
fuck california and california deluxe
cool guitars. sounds mad.
I once heard this as a filler song over the speakers waiting for Saves the Day to take the stage in London. I got way too excited.
Man, I miss the 6th grade!
Go back, Billy Madison style.
waggy and lemmings are best on dude ranch.
Joshua Oconnor 2018,and i think the same
Waggy ,lemmings and i like pathetic too
and Apple Shampoo
and Josie
Ehem Voyeur
a new life above.
I was born in n1neteen 8ty eight December 2wentieth
Honestly, I think this is one of their best songs. It's weirdly mature for them, considering they were like 21 when they recorded it.
the cars
Stormtrooper Punk Song check it out, a tribute song to Blink 182, it's bomb check it out.
Probably my least favorite or second least favorite song on the album, but that's not saying much... The whole album is so fucking awesome, and I love every song.
nice song boys!
unreal, the memories of 1997-99. middleschool and highschool. going to the mall with my girlfriend. man bring young was great, things were all so new ...and I had a lot of energy
now I'm 31 and we'll, things aren't the same.
Blazk0 oh man hell yeah! Your teenager...the future is so big, you will be anything! You got testosterone flowing through you and there are beautiful young girls EVERYWHERE...such good times...every experience is "the first time"!
Yeah, growing up sucks. Life becomes difficult, and people begin to seem more shitty.
fuck all that noise! im 30 and giving the whole growing up thing the V. u live once man, live how u want
im still trying to figure out why this album is SO FUCKING GOOD
out of all the members of blink 182 Tom DeLonge is the best one, just my opinion
Why comment this on a mark song? Valid opinion and all but... Why?
memories memories.
I can't reply here... But props to the dude who's 32 and bought this on cassette... I'm 31 and remember this being my first "punk album" lol
Just bought this on casette at Homers record store in Omaha Ne a few weeks ago and thank fuck i did cause i would have never listened to this whole album otherwise. sublime or blink but blink is sublime or what ever yeah
Blink honestly got me more into punk , pop and hardcore ska
Ahh, this brings back memories of being 14 ( I'm 28 now ) and thinking I'd be a hardcore blink fan for the rest of my life but as I got older my taste in music has changed and varied over the years although when I come back to this album every now and then the nostalgia is intense. Great album.
for me it was 16-18 now im 28
Idem 14 and now 30
Yes mate. I'm 35 married with 2 kids and somehow manage to relate
Same here mate
my favorite blink song
Dude Ranch is just so good, never gets old. Blows all of their other shit out the water.
Dude ranch and Unwritten Law's black album. My two favorite albums of that time
Have you heard Cheshire Cat
Personally I prefer Enema of the State
This Cheshire Cat they came to conquer your anus and the self titled are my favs
so many high school and college memories, man miss those days.
I miss you, miss you
god how things change....how the fuck do people listen to todays music and not this all the time? I just don't get it....
+Canais Young except mainstream music is structurally and technically getting worse
Actually, I'm noticing a lot of kids my age getting into older hip hop like Mac Dre and stuff. Honestly that stuff is way better than most of the stuff on the mainstream radio. But I don't give a shit really. Bitching about music from my generation seems retarded and in reality, it wont get me anywhere. If you really don't like modern music, pick up a guitar and a notebook. Be the change you wanna see.
Eat my shorts
I've been playing guitar for 5 years. It make me even more frustrated lol. I just don't get with people today. Getting sucked into the media and mainstream music...
I'll tell you how - they like different things. Shocker, I know right?
best song off dude ranch
waggy and a new hope
Shocked Dammit gets so much shade
Appe shampoo brother!
6-10 tie, 3 5 11 2nd, rest of the album perfect filler.
Kynan's Music Dicks Lips is pretty good
411vm 37 brought me here
...I'll just jack off in my room until then!
The Uranus version is so much better.
not even close
Perfection as always
Try to listen this one and Wendy Clear in a row. 5 minutes of ABSOLUTE PUNKROCK PERFECTION.
what does the cover means
it means that the audience is the bull crap.
+Todd Linsley Haha tru I am bull crap 😅
+Todd Linsley Today's music is bullcrap.
it means testicles
my best memories, with this song <3
open your eyes, you can suck in your pride, you can live your life all on your own.
Classic Blink. Classic LP. Fucking awesome.. Up there with any of the other Rock And Roll classics IMHO.
Anyone know where I can find the M.O.M. volume 1 version they did? I think that version came out before Dude Ranch was released and it was how I first got into Blink 182. I listened to that tape so much it wore out.
its on amazon for 4 bucks. Music for Our Mother ocean volume 1.
nofx wishes they were as good as blink. fatmike is a whiney bitch that wises he had more fame.
idk nofx is still pretty good. nofx is part of the reason blink got famous anyway.
Nah man, Blink-182 is by far better, but Nofx lyrics are awesome too.
blink is better than nofx but sandin and el hefe are better than blink. and Scott was better than travis.
This comment thread is absolute cancer. blink would not exist without NOFX, Mike has *rejected* mainstream fame since the start of the band, the whole band clearly doesn't give a shit about appealing to the mainstream music industry, and as such Fat Mike has created the one of the most successful independent record labels in history that has spawned the creation of so many superb punk records.
*B-b-but blink got that fAmE man they have went pLaTiNuM!!* - who gives a shit? Why does a band have to be better than another band to you fucking dipshits? Why can't you enjoy the music as opposed to debating which fucking musician is better or whatever. Shut the fuck up and just listen to whatever tickles your fancy.
You are out of your mind. The content in mods lyrics is so much more complex. Nods stayed DIY, as punk was meant to be.
Youre one youtube idiot. It doesn't get much more corporate than that man
jajaja punk rock with rules jajajaj that´s funny
i feel just the same way...
Wow someone has no grasp on the real world...just enjoy the music, bro.
I love blink but the first time i heard them i hated them, i was like what the fuck is this NOFX fucking rip off band.
They sounded nothing like NOFX then, and they sound nothing like them now.
@Joe Permenter Are you kidding? They credited NOFX for being one of their biggest influences in the liner notes of *at least* the first three albums! Both Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch directly borrowed from the skate punk sound that NOFX pretty much pioneered, and blink equally borrowed the crude humour from NOFX. I love both bands to death, but if you cannot see how NOFX had an influence on their early sound, then you better call a doctor and get your fucking ears checked dude.
Punk Rock is merely a category of music. Nothing more or less. Having said that I agree capitalism sucks all the original punk bands were on major labels. There was nothing 'underground" about the Sex Pistols.
Dude I'm 32 and I bought this on cassette!!
Dude... what
now I see why you are thespeechlessone
fat chicks, low self esteem
pre enema of the state blink was golden
this song is good for getting rid of clingy gfs ha ha
There's no rules about punk rock.
this is my absolute favorite song thats ever been written, there will most likely never be a song thats impacted me like this song has
nuclearbanana7 Jawbreaker - Accident Prone
i have yet to have found a band that is as consistent as blink-182. everytime i think i've found my new favorite band,i listen to a blink song and realize how silly that is.they don't have a single bad song. not one. f i meet a girl i like a lot, i can listen to josie.if we have problems i can listen to waggy. if im in a good mood i can listen to degenerate.if i'm sick of school i can listen to time.wondering about a girl? wasting time.Reminiscing about old times?any song.i just love blink-182.
your bedroom must have really smelled if you can still remember
that's so crazy you said that. I remember buying this when i was 7 too. I'm 21 now. i love that blink was my first album.
One of the best Masturbation songs of all time!!!
i buy it 2 days later, blink stills live
my comment is about " no body likes you when you're 23 ♪" idiot
chop your fingers off so no one has the disadvantage of reading your immensely fucked up text, then sit in a corner for eternity. thanks.
I laughed harder than I should've.
blink sounds a lot more like the Descendents meet the Cure (in their Cheshire/Dude Ranch stuff) and rightly so since they were huge influences for the band, along with Bad Religion. Later, they kind of delved into that party pop-punk sound they're famous for. If there was any modern band that sounded like the Ramones, I would say it's Green Day. blink uses more melodic riffs/basslines than just outright power chords, whereas Billie Joe played power chords almost exclusively up until "Warning".
Whattt???? LOL how old are you? Green Day and the Ramones??? The Cure and the Descendants as a mirror image of Blink??? Right... Clearly you're a sheep/radio listening follower.. fml Punk rock will truly die with you people and your opinions uggh
Capitalism is bad because it's produced successful individuals? You want everyone's income to be regulated by the government? Get over yourself and stop including yourself into "punk rock" if you're going to go on about senseless bullshit.
shut up johnny rotten
they did an acoustic version of this in liverpool, absolutely brilliant
ya but nobody likes you , so im still doing okay.
i dont like you
it's not punk rock to try and define punk rock. Everyone should just do there thing!
Yes, this is true. The Sex Pistols were with EMI. It's true, I don't have the right to say what is or isn't punk. I just can't fathom a capitalist punk band.
lol, we're going in circles here. you know some pretty interesting people, and as i keep stressing, that's cool that that's their viewpoint of it, and they'er allowed to have it, but that was never the case in the beginning. a group of punks created the anti-capitalist movement and that was their belief/choice, etc but not the idea of everyone involved in the punk movement. the punks you know didn't create it, they weren't the first, therefore they have no right to say what is or isn't punk
It's the viewpoint of every other punk I've met or known :/
Punk rock has to inspire change and it can't do that if it's censored.
The ONLY rule of punk rock is that it is inherently anti-capitalist. Because capitalism is a filthy, dog-eat-dog rat race, and supporting it, whether it's to make more money or get more fans, is NOT punk rock. Capitalism is corporations stomping on family-owned businesses. It's sexism rampant. Supporting capitalism is to support these things. Punk rock can never support these things.
the fact that the ramones are considered the first punk rock band tells me that if anyone has the right to say what is and what is not punk belongs to them, and they're all dead. they initially wanted to be on the radio, but nobody wanted to play their songs, so people within the scene bastardized that and said that punk can't be on the radio, etc. your viewpoint comes from a sect within punk, a sort of hardcore punk or even anarcho-punk, but not the voice of the entire punk movement.
and again, i notice that that is your interpretation of it, and more power to you. "we received a lot of backlash but not from fans, from what we called the 'punk rock police.' people who talked about the rules of punk and how this is punk but that is not. those are to me some of the most uninteresting people to hang around and the people who did most of the criticizing." - greg graffin
Hey hey hey. I never said anything about dressing a certain way. Dress how you want, I don't care. You see, punk is inherently rebellion. You can't rebel if you have a VEVO. Making a living is one thing, this is something different altogether. It's great music, and I love it to death, but it's just not punk. It's not about dressing or acting a certain way, it's about not being told what to do, and not allowing yourself to be censored in any way.
that may be your interpretation of punk and that's great that you feel your own way about it but that doesn't mean that you nor the bands that support that sort of "if they don't dress or act like us, then they aren't punk" attitude are punk's presidents. personally, i think punk's attitude in the beginning was to do it yourself and to take control of your own destiny and if green day or blink can still do that on a major label then god bless them and god forbid they can make a living off of it.
