Music isn’t horrible but....this isn’t blink at all. Hell there’s only one original member in the band, can they just make a new project and leave the old blink alone. This isn’t punk, or even pop punk.

Amazing blink 182

U kidding, this is a great sum 41 album, not such a great blink album. That's my opinion tho. As a blink fan, I don't like it. I get they're taking a new direction, I'm not biased just because skiba is in the band, it just doesn't have a blink vibe.
Excuse me for saying this but, I'm disappointed in the speed of the songs, it's just not blink 182. This is WAY more along the lines of sum 41 evolving over time, not blink.
To be fair, I like sum 41. I like blink more than any other band, which is why I choose to cover them.
Now, I do not think that this is a bad album. I like the album. I just don't like that it's got blink 182 as the title. Because, simply put, it's not their sound. It's way more generic than any of their other albums.
Pros of this album:
Solid songs, moderate tempo, can actually understand all the lyrics first time through, and matt Tom and Travis sync together well.
Cons of this album:
Depressing messages for the most part, not very creative as compared with other albums (I find the drum beats are solid, but lacking completely in the diversity of songs such as: dumpweed, feeling this, hearts all gone, NOT NOW (incredible drumbeat if you ask me), mutt, first date, dogs eating dogs, pretty little girl, always, I'm sure you get the idea.
The drumbeats all sound the same. The songs all sound the same. Album was written to sell.


This is 100% my opinion as a huge blink 182 fan and probably even bigger fan of travis barker. Feeling this is hands down my favorite song and always will be, it's why I started drumming in the first place. Absolute pleasure song.
As for technicality, yes travis is playing difficult beats, but it just doesn't seem like he has the same attitude he used to. Beats are all way more technical but they sound slower, like maybe he's bored of drumming (that's the vibe I get) listen to dumpweed, feeling this and then pick any song off this album and you'll see the drums are completely different, in a way less creative but more complex if that makes sense.
I hope you see this mark Matt and Travis, I still love your work, keep going, just my honest opinion one musician to another three. I've been a fan since I first heard ur music when I was 6, but never had a chance to be a musician til 09 and even then never started drumming til 2012.
And if you do see this mark, I fucking love your bass riff in feeling this, that was actually incredible how much you do as compared to what most non musicians hear!!!!

Wish the played the whole chorus at the end not just Matt's half. Still sick, but I just love that melody so much. What a band, what an album. Top notch!!!!!

I find this a weird song, I think Matt's verse is very reminiscent of the 90s boy band that blink was made famous for mocking in all the small things lol. But the 2nd half sounds alot like avenged sevenfolds I won't see you tonight part 1.
It's a bizarre song, I think it's just not quite right. But hungover you is my favourite song on the album and this follows it.

I had a friend who killed himself, he was like my brother and he was only 15 and he loved blink 182 so whenever I listen to them I think of him. I love you little bro and I know I'll see you again one day.

The songs just keep getting better and better, loved them! I grew-up (high-school 2000 era) listening to your songs! However there's 1 ingredients I miss from your music nowadays: that "simple-catchy guitar and/or bass certain melody" (usually as the intro). Remember Adam Song, Stay Together for the Kids, All the Small Things, First Date, Damn it, etc? I learned guitar and memorized your music thru those melody. The good 'ol Blink 182!
