Blink-182 - Out Of My Head Lyrics

Leave a light in your bedroom
For when I stumble down the hall
Got nowhere left to go to
Guess I shouldn't go anywhere at all

And I hear what you're saying
But I still keep banging away
Left a note on my windshield
Saying that you shouldn't have to

Waste another
Day of my life

Get me out of my head
Empty, left for dead
Don't make this so complicated
There's no point in a conversation

Get you out of my head
Let's both just forget
How this got so complicated
There's no point in a conversation

I can tell this time that you're leaving
Free yourself of me and my demons
Caught ever hurting your feelings
Said I can't take this no more

Ran away on a bike that I gave you
Sold it off the next day you came to
Can't stand me, can't say I blame you
I can't take this anymore
I can't stand me anymore

Get me out of my head
Empty, left for dead
Don't make this so complicated
There's no point in a conversation

Get you out of my head
Let's both just forget
How this got so complicated
There's no point in a conversation

There's no point in a conversation
There's no point in a conversation

Get me out of my head
Empty, left for dead
Don't make this so complicated
There's no point in a conversation

Get you out of my head
Let's both just forget
How this got so complicated
There's no point in a conversation

  1. A.... ....

I hope this one will make it's way to Spotify one day

  2. m.... ....

I didn't know this existed until my little brother told me. I listened to the album the day it came out. This is awesome. Mark makes it sound like a blink song and Matt's lyrics give me an alkaline trio vibe and Travis on drums automatically makes everything better. I hope we get more songs like we did in 2017 with the California deluxe edition

  3. S.... S....

    great man

  4. K.... B....

    I like it.

  5. J.... D....

Its a fun song, But i get why it didn't make Nine

  6. E.... N....

I’m feeling like the blink - 182 album was entertaining enough, but highly depressing. I enjoy it slightly now, but I kind of hope the AVA album makes me say, damn Blink-182 SUCKS.

  7. T.... ....

I'll be honest about this track. I could take it or leave it. I don't miss it on the American release.

  8. M.... J....

    my fav song from nine!!!!!!

  9. K.... P....

There's no point in a conversation.

  10. C.... ....

This song gives me 'Shut Up' vibes

  11. n.... ....

Sounds generic. Can Feldmann stop having Matt doing whoa whoa whoas please? Matt can definitely do better than that.

    .75 speed is too good

Matt Skiba is an awesome vocalist, so many of you "fans" are tasteless and entitled and don't know good music when you hear it. Keep your heads up, my 182 family - Truest Blue

    s.... s....

Timothy Mcsweeney Travis played drums on BCR. Tom wrote the music. He wrote the lyrics, created the melodies, wrote the riffs. He wrote the songs. Travis just played drums and he maybe helped with arrangement. Also, Mark’s bass playing was not amazing. He is literally the most uncreative, simple bass player ever. Tom was the creative force for untitled. The other two were just the cherry on top. Did they contribute? Yes. But it’s obvious Tom was the center of creativity. Mark only contributed two songs, Go and Here’s Your Letter. Those were the two sinmplest tracks on the record. While Tom contributed way more songs and they were amazing like Obvious and I’m lost without you. All the other tracks are basically Tom tracks with Mark guest vocals. The writing process on that album was not equal. There’s no way that’s possible. Once you realize that, it’s obvious who wrote the majority of the record, especially when you listen to BCR and AVA.

    s.... s....

jazzblaster sorry but that simply isn’t true. Like I said, Travis showed Tom
all the music that inspired the stylistic shift that was BCR and he came up with the name. Read Travis’s autobiography. Tom usually writes his melodies and lyrics, but Travis contributed to all the compositions. He did this on Untitled too, there is a video on here of Travis teaching Tom the timing of the breakdown in asthenia. The album would be completely different without his arrangements. Everything Tom put into the album was amazing, but you’re crazy if you think it would be anywhere near as good if it weren’t for Mark and Travis. Also check out the bass on feeling this. It is very creative and fun to play. Idk what you’re talking about with his two songs? Stockholm syndrome, I miss you, feeling this, always, and easy target have awesome contributions from mark. Especially feeling this, which is mostly written by him. Blink is one of my favorite bands and it’s obvious that they’re at their best when they’re challenging each other in the studio, but Tom put an end to that. At least we got lightning in a bottle for 4 albums.

    s.... s....

Timothy Mcsweeney he can’t sing stockholm syndrome. and Tom wrote the majority of i miss you. and the bass line to feeling this is the easiest, most uncreative thing ever. the fact that it is one of mark’s most creative parts says a lot. also, showing tom music and coming up with the name is hardly contributing. the sound, music, riffs, idea, lyrics, and vocals came from Tom. travis just drummed. Did he add his own style? yes. did it significantly change the melodies and lyrics? no. BCR was Tom’s. he just asked travis to drum because it was more convenient.

    s.... s....

jazzblaster for the third time lol, Travis showed Tom all the east coast/post punk bands that inspired the sound of BCR. Tom said that because it sounds better. Travis is more than a traditional drummer and he contributes to the arrangements. It would have sounded way different without him. He can’t sing Stockholm syndrome, what’s your point lol? Tom can’t sing anything from that album anymore. I miss you was written by all of them and they had a completely different chorus for awhile. The magic of that album was not just from Tom, it was from all 3. If you took anyone of them out, it just wouldn’t have been the same album.

    s.... s....

Timothy Mcsweeney showing someone music means jack shit. creating it is what matters. just cause he showed him the bands, now he should get all this credit for the album? i showed my friend some bands too. should i be credited for helping to create his album? 😂😂 as for the untitled, it’s impossible for the 3 of them to contribute equally. someone had to contribute the most. they’re not computers measuring how much the other has contributed. if you look at what came before and after untitled its clear who influenced its sound the most. first off, mark wanted to keep making shitty pop punk albums which is why TOYPAJ came out the way it did (and also why +44 sound basic). that’s also why Tom went and did BCR. Untitled sounds way more like BCR than TOYPAJ. What does that tell you? Now what cane after untitled? +44 and AVA. AVA is the clear progression from untitled. +44 sounds like a regression. It sounds like a soulless blink, one without Tom. So AVA is the clear evolution of untitled. what does that tell you again? Tom clearly had the most influence on untitled. The sound of BCR and AVA prove it. arrangement is not significant. A producer can help with that so stop acting like Travis made some giant contribution. Most times they would record basic tracks and he would just come in and play to a click track and be done. mark, on the other hand, barely passes as a beginning musician. he can’t sing (he literally uses his talking voice when “singing” and he’s always flat live)and he can barely play the bass. prove me wrong. tell me how untitled sounds more like Mark’s music. Tom’s sound is all over that album. It’s basically BCR part 2.

  16. T.... ....

    Great song!

  17. P.... R....

It gives me strong Neighborhoods vibes tbh

  18. M.... B....

The bassline sounds like Snake Charmer from Neighborhoods.

    M.... B....

Metal Beer Solid i thought the same thing

    M.... B....

Guitar chorus like i miss you

    M.... B....

I thought that too, Probably the main reason it sounds like Neighborhoods during the verses, Chorus kinda has that TOYPAJ thing going on

    M.... B....

    You mean SNAAAAAAKE!!!!! Charmer

  19. B.... ....

escuta minha musica "lobo mau" e sobre comer mulheres kkkkk

  20. T.... C....

In the end, a blink album always makes me happy.

  21. J.... D....

I believe California had a japanese bonus track too, which made it into American California deluxe. NINE DELUXE WHEN?

  22. B.... ....

    STOP BEING CORNY.

  23. I.... S....

    Sounds like a generic ghost-writer.

  24. D.... M....

They should've put this on the regular album instead of Blame It On My Youth and keep that as a single so that I can bare listening to the whole album through

  25. C.... G....

    back to the continuum

  26. r.... ....

definately sounds a lot more like older blink...love it

  27. O.... ....

    This song goooeeesssss

  28. B.... ....

Why wasn't this included on Nine?? I dig this track.

    B.... ....

BillyBuildsFitness Most rock bands cut a song from the album and add it as a bonus track for the Japanese release.

  29. B.... B....

This sounds nothing like old blink u fuckin millennial morons. They failed on this song. Glad they left it off the North America version

  30. R.... ....

Listening to you for 22years from JAPAN
GO GO blink GO GO 182!!

  31. M.... V....

get me out of my yeaaad!

  32. J.... P....

I like that song, cuz somethings they are not good for me.

  33. A.... S....

Here's an idea... let's make cool Blink songs but have a random guy do "whoaaaauhohh" on all of them.

    A.... S....

    Random guy? Thats Matt Skiba!!

    A.... S....

@Byren Hayabusa I know. Only teasing. He just does that SO much lol.

    A.... S....

    @Attack Story True, true.

    A.... S....

I like the whoooaaaa in this song

  34. B.... ....

This song should have replaced Blame It On My Youth.

    B.... ....

I wouldn’t mind that at all. This song is great.

    B.... ....

Happy Days is the worst song on the album

  35. d.... h....

    Skiba is terrible as always

    d.... h....

@James No big difference. If it's a band, then every member is equally important. That's why it's called a band. If I want to hear only the vocalist, I'd go listen to a solo artist.

    d.... h....

Avinandan Biswas tom was the key member of the band, the best albums was recorded with him. Skiba’s singing on live performances is terrible, the nine album is unfortunately the worst album i’ve ever heard from the band. Damn when skiba sings the songs like “down” my ears and eyes are bleeeeeding

    d.... h....

@Avinandan Biswas Well I disagree, but it really depends on the band. Of course there are exceptions but a song writer, vocalist or lead guitarist is going to be more pivotal to a band than someone that just plays bass or tambourine, for example. In any case, when a band only has one original member out of three, and one of those ex members was a song writer and vocalist, I struggle to find how they can carry the same name or claim to be the same band. They should make music under a different name and not cover Tom's songs.

    d.... h....

@damn head You are clearly a Tom fanboy and nothing else. There's no point arguing with you. Atleast James here is giving a logical explanation.

    d.... h....

Avinandan Biswas no, skiba with his alkaline trio is just uninteresting person and musician. Btw california was a good album, the sunset of blink-182

  36. T.... M....

I bought the Japanese CD for this song alone

    T.... M....

Where'd you buy the Japanese CD?

    T.... M....

    @Alex Kahle Japan presumably

    T.... M....

    @Nix, no shit

    T.... M....

@Alex Kahle i got it off Ebay

  43. D.... V....

Why matt sing in all songs wtf

    D.... V....

There's literally not a single Matt-only song, and you're complaining about this? Matt could sing on the entire album and I'd be all here for it

    D.... V....

Happy days has only mark on lead vocals

    D.... V....

Maybe bcs hes part of the band ?

    D.... V....

Usually thats the job of the lead vocalist, I think...

    D.... V....
