Ive always thought that this felt like a farewell song. Obviously, intended or not, it was. What an absolute shame. Ive honestly not heard one song by Blind Melon that I didnt like. Thats rare.

Seems like The Album SOUP was Shannon saying Goodbye to us!!! Drug infused lyrics and him wanting to change (he had no self control) in The Big Easy New Orleans!!! Goosebumps... Every time I listen to "Mouth Full of Cavities". Really connects, ya know? Every generation says "Music was better in my day", but this isn't opinion. It's fact. The prepackaged, bubblegum, crap with a beat, doesn't really cut it. I listen to older stuff, other stuff and it has something that today's music just doesn't have. Emotion, soul, heart, meaning...something that music of today is lacking.

I get it. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it, but music is, and should be so much more. I hope things will change someday and the younger generation can experience goosebumps, or something like it.
