Blind Faith - Presence Of The Lord Lyrics

I have finally found a way to live just like I never could before
I know that I don't have much to give, but I can open any door
Everybody knows the secret, everybody knows the score
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I have finally found a way to live in the colour of the Lord

I have finally found a place to live just like I never could before
And I know I don't have much to give, but soon I'll open any door
Everybody knows the secret, everybody knows the score

I have finally found a place to live, oh, in the presence of the Lord
In the presence of the Lord

I have finally found a way to live, just like I never could before
And I know I don't have much to give, but I can open any door
Everybody knows the secret, I said everybody knows the score
I have finally found a way to live in the colour of the Lord
In the colour of the Lord

God damn I love Eric’s patience with his playing in this and winwoods vocals really controlled and precise playing and all around amazing performance by the whole band really mellow 🤙🏻

  5. S.... ....

    Volume too low..

  6. L.... D....

These were my teacher we had no private tutors back then just what was on the radio.

  7. T.... P....

Not an alcoholic like the others, Steve makes up for it by wearing his red fart pants.

  8. T.... E....

Not religious, but at least religious themes weren't a "Them or Us" issue like now. Take what applies and let the rest die.

  9. T.... ....

I just watched the Ginger Baker documentary "Beware Mr Baker" and was engrossed for hours. As far as drumming goes he was up there among the gods. A total genius.

    T.... ....

T-34 Though that is an important documentary, check out the MI clip. At Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, Ginger is putting on a training lesson. I think you will enjoy it, as it shows Ginger in a positive light. Very happy and cheerful, in a good mood.

  10. Y.... V....

    I'm missing Ginger today

  11. H.... I....

basically kids writing such quality of music as this just blows my mind.

What a great song! Clapton with his Tele over those Plexi towers, Winwood's singing and playing on the Hammond organ, and of course the drumming. RIP Mr. Baker!

  13. I.... C....

  14. J.... F....

    RIP Ginger Baker. Rest easy...

  15. G.... W....

1969 was a GREAT YEAR for music yet sad there was the VIETNAM WAR and killing going on. Power and Politics= EVIL

    G.... W....

Still, a relevant song in 2019, still senseless killings, happening around the world🙏🏿

    G.... W....

Suave Jay not really a relevant song of reality just a time when that generation did want PEACE and NOT WARS. None of the band were religious yet Winward being a piano/organ keyboard musician had to get in a religious song to compete with Harrison.....and that's where Clayton ended up going to spend a lot of time with. It was a phase for Stevie Winwood. Traffic was also an amazing recording of soundtracks. The times were great music wise yet POLITICS were KILLING off young boys for their blood money and power. The same evil killed the Kennedy's and Martin Luther King. Counterculture were hip to the USA becoming a Police state of control to oppress the people. We are now a nation of puppets and the Puppet Masters are the 1℅ keeping Americans slaves while our lives are more uncertain than ever. We're about to lose our DEMOCRACY due to an Authoritarian named Trump. NEVER thought I'd see this from a POTUS. Scary times and new music sucks too.

  16. r.... ....

Who played the keyboard on this performance?

    r.... ....

    Steve Winwood

  17. W.... W....

Goodbye Ginger, We'll catch up with you later.

  40. M.... J....

    Steve's timing's impeccable.

  41. M.... J....

Great video except for a few silly sixties elements like that eyeball thing at 2:20.

  42. d.... a....

    Eric Clapton . decent here.

  43. M.... S....

I was very fortunate to have been at this gig and listen to this amazing track which I love very much.

  44. D.... T....

Every body knows the secret..everbody knows the score.

  45. W.... M....

Wow. Eric was just in the beginning of falling in love with Pattie. It’s sad to think he is just in the beginning of the pain and sadness that he experienced through out the 70’s and 80’s, right up to Unplugged. So glad he is in such a good place now.

  46. M.... M....

21 year old genius who was playing piano at age 4. Still has that magnificent voice 50 years later!

  47. N.... T....

Blind Faith- winwood, clapton, baker........Cream- clapton, baker, jack bruce

  48. D.... W....

What's the track called, where they keyboards sound a bit like Take Five by Dave Brubeck ? Driving me nuts...

  49. S.... F....

    *.......ANNOINTED......MUSIC.......!!!!!! 🎶*

  50. F.... M....

Great times. Remember a guitarist who played this song at uni in the 70s. He was a Baha'i and their life purpose was 'to live in the presence of the Lord' by 'knowing, loving & worshiping God,' 'acquiring virtues,' and then making efforts to promote 'the oneness of mankind' and 'an ever-advancing civilization.'

  51. t.... ....

I think this would have been the best concert ever to have been at.

  52. F.... H....

Had the pleasure of seeing them in concert in St. Louis on their only tour. Got to see Winwood in concert at the Palace in Louisville a couple of years ago. A couple of my favorite concerts.

  53. T.... G....

    Still have the concert picture

    book!

  54. T.... G....

One of the very best shows I've ever seen

  55. a.... h....

this is the classical music of the future right next to mozart

  56. D.... S....

I KNOW ALL OF YOU. PRAISE AND GLORY BE TO GOD.

  57. B.... ....

Steve's playing is so smooth and dreamy!

  58. S.... E....

  59. R.... B....

  63. C.... N....

    Un lujo

  64. P.... G....

Man I wish these guys had stayed together for longer, everyone a fine musician, they played because they loved the music not for celebrity status

  65. A.... H....

just realized that this is a four chord song

  66. K.... H....

Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker

  67. w.... ....

The Hammond organ back in the day made the music so powerful especially if a Leslie speaker was used. Along with this song, Whiter shade of pale would not exist without the Hammond. The organ was designed for church's that wanted the pipe organ sound with a smaller budget. The Leslie speaker spun inside making the sound effects. All the amps during the 60's were tube amplified, and you can't beat that sound either. This is great footage, Thanks for sharing!

  68. E.... Y....

    Gotta love EC's well-worn Tele.

  69. K.... M....

    yes please

  70. S.... M....

Much Trust the Lord sees and hears thru the Light here
    Reality Matters
    Peace

  71. R.... E....

I was watching this video and thinking that many of the bands today seem so empty, plastic. Music lost emotion and meaning. It's pretty cool to see old school bands like this one, with Eric Clapton playing the guitar. So simple, so good, so strong. If you watch "Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars (2017)" documentary you will see more details like Mick Jagger in the crowd watching. Also, I love Steve Winwood's voice, it was their first gig so it makes everything even more special! Thanks so much for sharing this.

  72. D.... G....

When you do find a way to really live to a potential it is like that actually.

  73. P.... R....

    It's lacklustre, but tight.

  74. e.... n....

Much better than the cover. One of those rare moments when the band achieves perfection. I discovered this song quite by accident on archives cable. It has an overwhelming effect on me. Fantastic job Steve!

  75. M.... S....

I was very fortunate to have been present at this amazing concert in Hyde Park. Founder East-West Organization UK http://www.eastwestorganization.uk

  76. A.... J....

    Love this song! Brilliant!

  77. k.... w....

I hope Eric meets his son Conor in Heaven and the wee mite knows his dad's name - clapton is/was god, can't you remember ?

  78. e.... n....

Please let Steve rather than Clapton sing this in public. Clapton's voice is harsh and raspy compared to the velvet touch of Steve Winwood.

  79. e.... n....

Listen to the B3 solo Billy Preston. This is what your missing with Clarence. You seem to think that massive numbers of notes make the solo. Secondly, your feeling is all wrong. The lyrics would suggest a hymn like accompaniment not a whole bunch of blues licks that you're dying to play. Steve has got you beat by miles on this tune!

  80. p.... b....

    Miky ti amo

  81. g.... ....

Very atmospheric, I love the shots of hyde park...

  82. J.... ....

EC's hair flip at 4:07 is so fucking dramatic haha love it

  83. k.... w....

dunno whether to laugh or cry at such beauty.

  84. N.... O....

    Damn Clapton was young!

  85. T.... ....

The only place to be is in the Presence of my Lord

  86. F.... G....

ERIC IS THE THE BEST OF ALL OF PREFORMERS,. GOD BLESS BROTHER

  87. k.... s....

How do people give these amazing, passionate songs a thumbs down.

    k.... s....

    no kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  88. D.... M....

This album made great rock history. As for Giinger Baker, he sure is a legend, but I never thought he was a great drummer.Acceptable,oh yes, he certainly is that and it is good to know he is still playing gigs.Would I go to see him? Oh yes, actually I would!

  89. b.... ....

Lord Vishnu, Lord Xenu, Lord of the flies,.......

  90. E.... d....

Steve truly was in the lords presence. He had Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. Enough said.

  91. M.... W....

1969 was the absolute pinnacle of 20th century music.

    M.... W....

At least of rock and pop music.

  92. G.... T....

    u got some soul

  93. D.... S....

    Amazing

    D.... S....

    It is . Amazing.

  94. K.... M....

Stevey Winwood kills it here so so soulful

  95. S.... M....

    Turmoil filled band here!

  96. j.... l....

This song is still so relevant today...

I have finally found a way to live
Just like I never could before.
I know that I don't have much to give,
But I can open any door.
    Everybody knows the secret,
    Everybody knows the score.
I have finally found a way to live
In the color of the Lord.
I have finally found a place to live
Just like I never could before.
And I know I don't have much to give,
But soon I'll open any door.
    Everybody knows the secret,
    Everybody knows the score.
I have finally found a place to live
In the presence of the Lord.
In the presence of the Lord.
I have finally found a way to live
Just like I never could before.
And I know I don't have much to give,

    Everybody knows the secret,

I have finally found a way to live

In the color of the Lord.

  97. K.... D....

Damn! Just noticed Eric almost missed the changes in the Solo!! Who knew!!
