Out of all of the three examples in this video, it hurts more to see the drug addict. Not to diminish anyone's struggle with gangs and loss or domestic abuse, but I do believe that there is a bigger struggle and a bigger burden when you have to fight yourself and feel worthless and hopeless against your own self, its like somebody else is inside your head pushing you and convincing you every time, but you want to change, deep inside you want to leave that behind, but you are so afraid of your own self that you prefer to stay in the pain zone that you at least already know of, instead of pushing for the unknown and struggles that come with change.
I cannot speak for any drug addict, on how being addicted to a real drug feels. But really, my heart really hurts when I see someone that struggles with that addiction, I always wish I could have a magical power to instantly release them and make them feel free of those chains, whether they fell on their own or someone else pushed them into it. I dunno why, but as cold as I am socially, there's a soft spot for people that hurt like that, anywhere, in movies, tv shows, whatever, its just...I dunno. Any time I come to this video I cry, because of that drug addict. Something about having help so close yet being scared of the help itself, gets to my very core, maybe its because I know how that feels, not exactly talking about addiction to drugs, but to something else. It really hurts being afraid of yourself.
