I think that he is absolute far away from Marc Anthony because of lack of natural passion, range of voice, and vocal abilities BUT the boy can sing really well. Just the passion is hard to invent and singing and acting must be differentiated. What makes a truly great vocalist is its ability to be the music itself. Not acting on the text. But this young man is definitely very talented. He just have to sing songs with wich he can be related.

He has a great voice for this song. Lacked a bit of passion of the original though.

I helped him at target last year... nobody knew who he was. he started singing in the middle of the isle just for attention. Hes such a loser.

Jordin can sing beautifully, but Blake has got to be the most musically talented person the show has ever had. The things he can do... He should have won. Hands down.

I'm gonna be honest. I wasn't a Blake fan initially but after hearing this performance I was pulling for him right up to the end. He took this song and just capitalized on it. What an amazing creative spin on a classic song. Kudos to Blake!

I like him. But I think he sounds a little bit like Marc Anthony.

When you sing a song, you make it your own. For example, Pocahontas (Colors of the Winds), Vanessa Williams, and Vanessa Hudgens. Vanessa W's is slow and sweet, but Vanessa H, is almost sexy, seductive, and husky. While it is not appropriate for younger kids, Vanessa H made the song her own.

Blade's voice sounds almost like Marc ... that's why he didn't win... which was too bad. He's good.

Now that we're in the 9th agonizing season of Idol its a good time to look back and appreciate when Idol was good. Blake was a bright light during Season 6. Not the best singer but there was no one like him before or since.
This was one of his best performances.

2 and a half luxurious minutes...nowadays the folks at idol seem to think our attention span can't handle anything longer than 90 seconds.

He needs to plead and kind like lazy-like singing for this song as to make it sexy (a guy's sexy not a lady's sexy) to attract ladies. He does it in a cool way - not really masculine like Marc Anthony version. But, he still creates the vibes through his pronounciations and his tones. He has that feels of pleading a gurl and he made it ... congrats to this guy ...
