This is high level musical artistry. A smooth chugging beat, nice soulful duet, and two guitar solos from Ritchie to give it some bite fir contrast. Well done.

Joe's voice always amazing, fits well with Candice

My thoughts exactly. Why hasn't this version of that great song been released as a single. It would stand up wonderfully against songs on pop stations today.

They should release this as a single again. It is a great song, and different enough from the original 30 years ago, that it would most surely find a while new audience. Great version of a fantastic Blackmore song.

I think it's meant to be like that and, in my opinion, it works.

Also, no Blackmore's Night song should ever sound like the Bee Gees - the sort of inspiration they should take is 1975 - 1987 era Fleetwood Mac!

This would have been brilliant if not for the timing of the voices being slightly off in the chorus line. They should have consulted Bee Gees music on that one.

GREAT GREAT song done in the most perfect way.
This is the way Ritchie should go. Even when he is 85 years old he will beat the rest of 6-strings players.

It is the purest crime against the mankind such a low number of views of this lovely song performed in such a wonderful way.

Joe Lynn Turner was born Joseph Linquito in Hackensack, NJ. He does not have a Southern drawl. He had to sing appropriately for this version, as it is not Rainbow, but Blackmore's Night.

Why not? They have done several Deep Purple and Rainbow covers, both in studio versions and live.
I think this duet version is better than the 'Candice solo' version on the standard album, and a nice treat!
