The Christmas bells are ringing

The angels all a'singing
Gloria, Hosana In Excelsis
Ding Dong carol all the bells
Ring out the Christmas story
Ding Dong sound the good noels
G-d's son has come in glory
Gloria, Hosana In Excelsis
Ding Dong Merrily On High
The Christmas bells are ringing
Ding Dong joyously reply

Blackmore's Night Ding Dong Merrily On High Comments
Ding-Dong😍❤
#WINTER is here
Superb, sterling, ❤️ Lovely!
So Lovely! Best version ever of this butiful song.
I love all Christmas songs, all the versions 😇
I can not wait next Christmas, beautiful song !
Amazingly beautiful especially the grand pipe organ at the end of the piece!
God bless you! Merry Christmas!
Love this version. Very middle age. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to all!
i love this song a lot it's a beautiful song
Love it except for the bad Latin pronunciation. It's "ex-CHEL-sis", NOT, "ex-CELL-sis"!! If you're going to sing Latin, get it right!!!
This is the best version ever
Logan C this a very very sweet. But have you heard the version by Celtic Woman?
Very lovely
The sound of the pipe organ at the end of the song is marvelous!
When my mom sang in the church choir years ago (may she rest in peace) she sung this carol in a duet. I can still hear her singing it through this selection. Christmas was always special in my family, especially in church and school (I attended a Baptist grade school).
My mom and I were always involved in the church's music ministry during the Christmas, and every year we always performed a Christmas cantata with the choir, soloists, piano and organ, and a full orchestra. Many special Christmas memories from Colorado from all those many years ago, which I shall never forget. 🎄🎄🎄
Stunning arrangement!
Does everybody know Richie was the leading guitarist for Rainbow before forming this group with his wife? He goes down in history as one of the best rock guitarists of all time!
Rainbow was a great band, but Ritchie gained that distinction years before with Deep Purple.
Uh... she said ding dong....
Yes.😒
I can listen to this year round.
This is now up there with my all time Christmas Favorites...Beautifully sung..and performed!! Many Joy to all this Holiday season!
hapy christmas
TREMENDOUS ! RITCHIE, YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST
chrismass is commin"n XD!!!
so lovely!!
I'm normally *very* wary of modern versions of Christmas Carols (and properly so, as old is best!) but this is beautifully sung.
And yes, I know it's September, but autumn and winter are my favourite seasons.
good song
Magical!
This is incredible....
Firellius:
In the ordinary, it is "Gloria in excelsis deo" in the Gloria and "Hosanna in excelsis" in the Sanctus.
I think that this is my favorite version of my favorite Christmas song ever.
President Snow agree🎄
love the guitarist
Who doesn't? It's Ritchie Blackmore after all!
@goyanks13240 The reason the o is left out in God may be because of religious reason. I know I Hebrew it's usually considered blasphemy to spell out God's name completely (some form of idolatry, usually why in any Hebrew writings the names of God are usually missing a letter). That may be why it seems censored to us.
Let the angels weep with joy! Surely they must!
Love the backing singers. No more comercial crap. A proper song done the proper way. Now i hit replay.
matster shardel I wouldn't say that so early
This is, hands down, the best version I have ever heard.
of course. And Richie and Candy is post-Christian culture, but still a post-Christian. I think it is impossible to demand from the people of this century the faith of those who sang hymns in the Middle Ages.
Merry Christmas! sorry for translation Google release :)
minstrel sing, sing minstrel, tell me how you ran away from those demons?
Absolutely fantastic, this is one of my favorite Christmas tune.
Good song but it would have been ten times better if Candice Night had just a bit more upward range. You can hear when she could have knocked it out of the park near the end but backed off to let the backup choir take it home.
It's September I want christmas
I'm listening in August
What an absolute beautiful rendition!
Nice!!!
wonderful! many thanks!:)
The pronounciations are a bit weird here and there. Otherwise coo'.
This is a christmas song Love it brilliant any more like this ? :)
So beautiful. Christmas is just the best time of the year!
Happy Christmas season everyone :) x
Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria, Germany. google the pics and you will see
i miss my grandpa :(
where is the place in the picture?
Simply amazing beautiful Christmas song!!
Love it can't wait till Christmas
56 days to go
A beautiful rendition! Wow :)
muito boa
yeeeees this song is WOW :)
do you also love this song as I do? :))
yes I can understand you *-*
Cant wait until Christmas. :)
I don't much like the tone of your voice!
This is probably THE best version of this song I've ever heard. It truly carries the spirit of the Yuletide season in it.
thumbs up if it isn't christmas and you are still listening to this song:)
Monty Python anyone?
This song is bad the devil likes this song and if u get it in ur head and sing at night ur bed will shake
Gorgeous. Gets me in the Christmas mood.
Wait - wasn't it "the bells are gayly ringing"?
@salozmen29 No. Xmas is just shorthand for Christmas. It's not some wackadoo thing like G*d is.
Actually the X of Christmas is not so awful. It goes back centuries to the" Chi Rho" initials (XR) which make up the "Christos" in greek. Mas is from Latin, so Christmas or Xmas is combining greek and latin.
@Aggelos1334 we sing it too <333
we sing that song to the choir
We're playing this in band this year. My flute part is so pretty.
@goyanks13240 It's as retarted as the people that refuse to write Christmas and put Xmas instead.
@cocokitty55 Time for Judaism 101
@AlexMoby Too Right!!
Hosanna is Hebrew. It's actually two words "Hoshia Na" it means "save us"
@adiabatka I belive Hosanna is Jesus... i could be wrong
This song is so wonderful I can't wait for the next Christmas to listen to it.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful song i've ever heard
Songs like this always remind me of the true meaning of Christmas. Santa Clause is nice...but he is not the reason. He is not real. My Savior is.
@qwinkly, and to goyanks, that is absolutely true. They have a deep reverence for the names of God, they also never really spoke the true name of the One Who Is, our Elohim and El Shaddai, Yahweh. They reverenced the name of God above all things, and thought it too magnificent to speak, or write. Now, we have Jesus, the name above all names, and just speaking it will set you free.
I just love this song. The type of music is so beautiful. Brings such internal peace. Close your eyes and just sway to the music and get lost.
Superb arrangement, beautifully done.
The Lyrics are different to that of the original song
i.e:
"The Christmas Bells are ringing"
isn't it:
"In Heaven the Bells are ringing"
In the description, why did you write "G-d's" instead of "god's"? Why was there a need to censor out the word GOD?
Hosanna...means praise the Lord............
i'm singing this at school and it sucks a lot too
Time to prepare spiritually for Christmas...........
@TheSoSoAgnostic I didn't mean it as an attack on your post, merely as sharing some knowledge. Please don't feel offended, it's never been my intention to intimidate you or anything. ^^
@Firellius Scratch the second to last sentence. Been a derp there and responded before reading through the entire text.
@TheSoSoAgnostic Actually, the original version of that line is, as far as I know, "Gloria in Excelsis Deo", and that means glory to god in heaven or the highest god, not exactly sure about the meaning of Excelsis here. Hosanna in Excelsis does not contain the word Deo, and can therefor not refer to god. Might be a dechristification of christmas songs, but whatever. It's still a good song.
Blackmore's Night RULES!!!
hosianna is hebrew and means "may somebody help". the word is related to "jehoshua", the hebrew name for jesus.
If somebody have got instrumental version of this carol?
sorry for my english
The Guitar is beautiful during this song...
Or Guitars, I think there are two playing together...
Gloria is Glory, Hosanna is actually not a word that translates easily into english. It's used in John 12 in the Bible where Jesus is riding into Jerusalem before passover. It means something like "Save me, I'm drowning!" and I'm not sure what excelsis means.
great song my #1 christmas song
Gloria = glory [to god]
Hosanna = (I believe) a Hebrew word, a shout of praise
in excelsis = in the highest
