I always thought at the beginning of the song Medlocke says "I drop a Lude and I hit the road" which was a big recreational drug in 1979 when this song came out.

I used to play the same clubs as Blackfoot back in Hackettstown New Jersey before they got the record contract. One of the best rock 'n roll bands ever.

Blackfoot strikes is probably the very best little known albums ever. It absolutely rocks completely.and has never gotten the recognition that is deserved . Lines like ( the hurt you leave behind is the hurt that's on your mind) listen to all this music has to say . . Maby the world just had too much goin on and never had time for BLACKFOOT STRIKES

A great tune!! My best friend years back introduced me to this band and i was hooked! I love the fast stuff & the slow. Would have to say Highway Song & Red Turn on a Red Light are 2 of my favorites.

my boyfriend in college did the same- I never knew this band existed before and what a blessing to southern rock!!!  left turn on red is prob my fav!!
