You doubled up with some solo acts and their group, like guru and gangstarr or outcast and 3000. You pretty much hit all the GOATS from my book, not necessarily in that order, though. Not a huge Rakim fan. I realize that I'm in the minority on that one. And no way I'd put KRS 1 ahead of Black Thought, 3000, J Cole, Redman, Mos Def, or even lower level MC's folks like Cube Common, and LL. He's not on their level to me. Guess I'm just not a fan of him either.
And Pac not making top 30?!?! I love De La, but c'mon, bro. They're a really nice group and they're on my playlist quite a bit, but to put them as GOAT's and Pac as an honorable mention puts your credibility in question. If you're just saying you like them more, then I'll give you that. I probably rock with them more as a man too.

I definitely feel you with black thought. He’s a beast. I put KRS1 from his presence as a rapper and his influence on that culture at the time and pride in strong MC’ing. His stance on anti MTV and his push for underground artists having more credit than the main stream sometimes.
I think pac word play is highschool but he’s one of the most talented actors and performers ever in rap.
I think his commercial success and dope producers propelled his brand. Movies made his face more present in the minds of consumers and no doubt his songs are dope. As an MC though, I think he’s not up there. As a performer. He’s off the planet. In a way, he is beyond hip hop. I just think an MC is an MC. Lyrics. Metaphors. Creativity.
