Black Sabbath - Seventh Star Lyrics
There's a vision in the sands
Rising from the ancient past
Crying let my spirit go
Lead my burning soul to rest
Hear the sound of distant ages
There's no shelter from the heat
There's no mercy from this land
Hear a thousand chanting souls
Waiting judgement from God's hand
Hear the sound of distant ages
It's the call of the seventh star
Hear the sound of fallen angels
It's the call of the seventh star
The pyramids will fall
Turn to dust before the sun
Until destiny is done
Hear the sound of distant ages
It's the call of the seventh star
Hear the sound of fallen angels
It's the call of the seventh star

Black Sabbath Seventh Star Comments
If only DIO would have sung this
Terrible production btw
Glenn Hughes did a gr8 job on this record imo...of Iommi's heavy riffs go without saying..
++
Iomms solo álbum. Warner made him put the name Black Sabbath on the cover. If you take it as a solo project then its okay. But as a Sabbath álbum, no. Hugh is okay for rock but not metal. Im a huge Sabbath fan, but was bummed out and gave this álbum away. Boring
Once in a lifetime opportunity to listen to the best of the best.
Simply Fantástic 🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
Tony Iommi is the fucking Iron man & Seventh star is a great album,it would be nice to get some reissues of these awesome albums
Its a good song....but listening to these drums makes me cry out for Ward.
Na Minha humilde opinião um dos maiores álbuns de hard rock /metal de todos os tempos., musicalidade e atmosfera única.
Can't stop listening
Bland Sabbath
Hughes X Iommi the Greatest
Eric Singer does some great drumming on this album really heavy overall and great tone
Eric is a very good drummer, but he´s kidnapped by some unscrupulous people...rock n roll all nite!!!
Crisalida devil kidnapped for 28 years🤣
@Tajem .T Is it just me, or the last 5 songs of the album are way more awesome, and feel much more sabbath-like than the first 4..?? :S:S
The solo is great
Sabbath na veia, 😎🤘
You people have all lost your minds.
Wn me encanta esta cancion , es genial y todo pero para mi NO es black sabbath , esto es solo disco de tony iommi , de black sabbath no tiene nada , tony hizo un buen trabajo en esta cancion y en el disco pero no black sabbath , tony solista
My brother got this album for Christmas in 1986. He died the next day in a car wreck.
crazy how two members of Purple seeped into Sabbath in the 80s. Awesome way to keep the career going
Yes Satan will rise again. Then he will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Then the New Earth and the New Jerusalem.
Eric Singer is a beast!
This album came out when I was in eighth grade and I had it on cassette. I wore it out very quickly. I never listen to critics, or the people saying if it isn't Ozzy, or Dio it isn't Black Sabbath. Iommi for me has always been my personal favorite guitarist. It's just his riffs.
The greatest song ever. Black. Sabbath rules
Big Álbum Sabbaht👏
This should be called Tommy Iommi Seventh Star and it would be a success among the critics and fans.
Or it would be like Jimmy Page's "Outrider", which is now in the forgotten category among the critics and fans. Personally, I am very glad this was released as a Black Sabbath song/album. :)
It was suppose to be his solo. Not really a Sabbath reléase. Warner messed that up. If it would have been intended to be a Sabbath then i doubt iommi would have used hughes
At least they couldn't force Tony to put everybody on the cover. It should have been an Iommi album, period. Great music.
Actually, this is more black than Black Sabbath. Yea yea, Dio, blablablaa. This song can destroy Dio era and more than the half of Ozzy era.
the glenn hughes vocals are fantastic, anything that guy sings comes alive.
Lmao. This barely even qualifies as Sabbath material since it was intended to be part of Iommi's solo project.
Top 10 most underrated Black Sabbath Songs:
10: Electric Funeral: Doesn't get as much credit as the rest of Paranoid.
9: Sleeping Village: Amazing. Only problem is that it's very short.
8: The Writ: One of Sabbath's best.
7: A National Acrobat: The whole Sabbath Bloody Sabbath/Sabotage era is so underrated. This song is a perfect example.
6: Wheels of Confusion: How the hell is this not one of their greatest hits?
5: Zero The Hero: This song contains Sabbath's best solo.
4: You Won't Change Me: All of Technical Ecstasy is underrated, but this song in particular is the most.
3: Seventh Star: Glenn Hughes is a really good vocalist, and holy hell that solo is awesome. This album is overlooked.
2: Hand of Doom: This is the only song off Paranoid that's as good as Sabotage, and one of the only ones that isn't overrated besides EF.
1: Megalomania: This is Sabbath's best song in my opinion, and nobody seems to know it exists.
@WWE : The Music Dehumanized is killer!!
Just at these times I finished listening to all those with seventh star, sabbath is much more than just paranoid and iron man
There's another Sabbaths jewel. "Born to Lose"
🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
Megalomania is my favorite too
This song reminds me of Frank Herbert's book, "Dune".
This is very underrated compared to the ozzy and dio era Black Sabbath.
Still in my heart in 2017 <3
Clássico...
it was supposed to be a Tony Iommi solo album..but the record company said no
Anybody know what this song is about?
RIP Geoff great Outro...
r.i.p. Geoff Nichols ...........
Kashmir backwards.
Not a popular song or album but the live rendition in Cleveland Public Arena that year was so good! In fact the whole show was awesome in that creepy old building
Tony Iommi Solo....
good, but its not Black Sabbath
+Fiddletopolis im reading their biography as we speak and i can confirm this..
The record company said that a "Black Sabbath" record was owed. Tony didn't want to release it that way and neither did Glenn because he felt uncomfortable with it too. Tony wrote it as a solo album and wanted it released that way. But the music industry does what it does.
Tony Iommi was the only mate to stick around for every album. Tony is Black Sabbath. They also had Geoff Nicholls working with them at the time, who is the 5th longest running member of the band, behind the original line up.
The cover does say Black Sabbath. If it really wasn't, Tony would have fought harder to keep that name off it.
Fiddletopolis it's kinda David gilmore sounding
Fiddletopolis ... sorry mate. Tony Iommi IS Black Sabbath. He’s ALWAYS Black Sabbath and he’s alpha and omega of Black Sabbath. He’s the genius. He can write radio stuff and it’s always Black Sabbath
@halph4s Exactly. Iommi is the rock so to speak. All of Sabbaths eras are great. Id dare say that while amazing....Dio and Ozzy eras are OVER appreciated.
Awesome song as old as I am rock will never get old but this is one of my favorites and danger zone!
You're not old sweetheart...just wise...as I am...🤟🤟
Прекрасный дух заключен в альбоме!
Músicão.
Thats an incredibly heavy riff.
TONY, vida longa! 👊
Tony Iommi, o mestre.
tony is Sabbath, his sound evolved as a guitarist, and thank goodness they (he ) is still relevant and in my opinion iommi is the greatest contributor to hard heavy music to date.
Mike Howe matters not who the singer is, Tony Iommi is Black Sabbath
I love this song and this album is very great but Itrying, but I don't really understand what is this "seventh star", if someone can explain to me , that was very cool please and cleary to me :)
+Florent P_Shaded Soul Seven Stars ... The Greeks named the stars the 'seven sisters. ... exact center of the universe
+David Nelson Thank you very much guy :))
muito bom!
super titre, glenn au mieux de sa forme
B S Rocks..
ROCK ON ..GREAT !!!!
+Monica Fredriksen I am beating my beat to your beautiful self
Mesmerizing. Ronnie could have sung this one.
one of the greatest sabbath songs of all time.
Glenn Hughes rughes...ahm..rules!!!
Greatest Sabbath song? .. This is not even Sabbath, just Tony's solo project.
@Forever metH No, it is Sabbath. Tony is on it, so it's Sabbath, Iommi is Sabbath!
@Robby T it's only Black Sabbath because of contractual stuff. This was supposed to be Tony Iommi's first solo album.
Foda!!!!!
To me,it doesn't really matter all that much if it's considered a Black Sabbath album OR a Tony Iommi solo album... I still like it!
faixa titulo foda.
Great song
yes, sabbath rocks! that we can agree on!
yeah i honsesly cant prove anything, but i honestly can say i like everything under the name black sabbath ex ept for forbidden as i considered that barely an effort,
I didn't like Forbidden at first either, but listen to the un-produced demos (available elsewhere on Youtube). It's actually a decent album.
Tony is remixing Forbidden.
I agree that the sound changed.. progressed some may say? Others may say got worse. That often happens... die-hard fans may just have a hard time accepting that..
And btw thanks for proving my point, that
"this is not a black sabbath album,
its tony iommis solo album" is not a fact just an opinion which still disregards the fact that the album was released/they toured as sabbath.
Anyways, pointless to continue on this discussion any further.. both of us like this album!
what it sounds like is completely relevent, a band name means nothing, say for instance robert plant had left led zeppelin and formed a marching german themed oompa band, released 12 albums all under the name led zeppelin, thats not zeppelin, i draw the line when they stopped sounding like sabbath which was after gillan left, and 9 out of 10 sabbath fans would agree with me,
but what it sounds like is not relevant.. if it still is officially called "Black sabbath"..
"the spirit of sabbath was gone after gillan left" that's just an opinion! Many may share that view, but some feels that it isn't sabbath without ozzy.. where to draw the line??
It was not exactly "the same band" with gillan/dio either, every singer/songwriter brings something to the table that is unique..
many may say that the sound is different, but it's natural with new blood in..
thats kinda what i meant, but this is in no way the same band, the spirt of sabbath was gone after gillan left, thats when it stopped sounding like sabbath, like is this really the band that did warning, warpigs megalomania and gypsy? sounds nothing like them,
well, if he didn't write everything I don't see it as a 100 % solo project.. yes it still could have been called a solo album, but that's another thing..
And sure, one member can continue on with the band name/and make it "the same band".. Take whitesnake/coverdale for an exmaple!
I didnt say he wrote everything now did I?
Its like ozzies solo work, if he had called it black sabbath it would have been the exact same circumstances, one member dosent make it the same band,
All music credited to Tony Iommi, though additionally lyrics were written by Glenn Hughes, Geoff Nicholls and Jeff Glixman.
which glenn by the way confirms.. "Here's a song I wrote with Tony Iommi" when he performs "No stranger to love"
well.. how come glenn participated in some of the songwriting then ?? Yes, I like it as well.. Yes, it was against his and hughes's will, but then again, that's how it is now..
no you kind of missed the point, i like it but it simply isnt a sabbath album, its 100 percent tony iommis solo project with the name black sabbath put on it against his will.
yes, well still that ofically makes it a black sabbath studio record, doesn't it?! although fans and some musicians may not like it, including glenn hughes himself!!!
it has nothing to do with sabbath other than the name, ok you know robert plants raising sand album? well if that had led zeppelin slapped on it by the record companies it still wouldnt make it zeppelin,
well, this is not a black sabbath album,
its tony iommis solo album, hence him on the cover, the record label made him put it as black sabbath for some reason,
This is real great metal.
It was my first song from blackk sabbath
