Black Country Communion - Common Man Lyrics

Lord won't you help me
Make it through the night?
No one can hear me
Lead me to the light
You are the reason
I am here today
Love is the answer
Take me far away

On my own I'm no better than
All alone
I'm a common man

Where are you brother?
I'm feelin' kinda low
Sister and mother
I want to let you know
Can't break the chain
It comes from deep within
Live through the pain
That's underneath my skin

On my own I'm no better than
All alone
I'm a common man

Called by the Siren
Down by the sea
Ghost in the distance
It's callin' me
You are the reason
I am here today
Love is the answer
Take me far away

On my own I'm no better than
All alone
I'm a common man

On my way
I will all I can
I will stay
Just a common man

Oh you poor boring fools who try to be critics are you kidding! This is a super group of song writers, top of the game as musicians, writers and vocalist who have more talent in their pinkies as we do in our whole bodies!! Super group.... doesn't even give enough credit to what these guys can do. Tell me this doesn't sound like Led Zepplin and Deep Purple taken to a whole new level??

CC: ZEP and PURPLE? Yes! Taken to a whole new level? No (but isn't it enough just to remind people of ZEP and PURPLE?)!

  2. Seba Veliz

    Pedazo de canción !

I love Rush, but let's get real. It's not a very original riff to begin with. What is it, like 3 chords? This song is killer!

  4. Mark Smith

Thankfully they didn't borrow Geddy's vocals.

  5. King Rat

    Everyone stole Robert Johnsons riffs

  6. Vratis69

No argument there, spot on.........Small Faces,Humble pie,yes the list does go on and on and on

  7. BridgyP

I can see the similarity, but after the first few seconds it changes totally, the drum rhythm, keys, vocal melody..

Oh and the 2nd part which is basically a jam. Amazing.

Two songs that share a chord or two, seriously if you're gonna pick up on that then most modern music is pretty fucked for copyright claims..

    Thanks Planet Rock

  9. gypsygenie1

That jam that came in at 3:25 is freaking cool! Love this band!

  10. David Sloan

Totally, at the start. Then the vocals come in, and then the FUNKY keyboards, and it becomes a whole new song. As a lifelong Rush fanatic, I can let it slide.

  11. Vratis69

And Rush stole Led Zeppelin riffs.......So whats the point your making?

  12. daiggles

This song sucks. Way to steal Rush's Tom Sawyer rif.

    chicks dig it....
