Bjork - ScatterHeart Lyrics
Black night is falling
The sun is gone to bed
The innocent are dreaming
As you should, sleepy-head
Sleepy-head, sleepy-head:
All the love above
I send into you
Comfort and protection
I'll watch over you
But don't ask me
What's gonna happen next
I know the future
I'd love to lead you the way
Just to make it easier on you
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
My
Dearest
Scatterheart
There is comfort
Right in the eye
Of the hurricane
Just to make it easier on you
You are gonna have to find out for yourself
All the hurt in the world
You know
There's nothing I'd love to do more
Than spare you from that burden
It's gonna be hard
If I only could
Shelter you
From that pain
Just to make it easier on you
You are gonna have to find out for yourself

me : If this turns into one of those musical scenes, I think I might fall in love with this movie
(Singing starts)
me : holy fxxk
It is very sad and deep that every musical scene is Selma’s imagination☹️
Fucking Lars von trier makes so many depressing shit but this one is the most heartbreaking to me
Her face crumpling in that last second is so heartbreaking
I just did not like “you just did what you had to do “ 😜 but movie is masterpiece. I simply love it .
Those are Lars’s lyrics, on the SelmaSongs album it’s hers and they’re much better
This film introduced me to arthouse european films. They have such an unique vibe compared to American cinema, even this one that is supposendly set in the USA.
Usually i don't really like musical, but this is my favorite musical movie of alltime
This version is so superior to the one in Selmasongs
awesome song and scene
Magnifique chanson !!!
this songs strongest in this movie.
Usually I hate musical. I loved this movie, anywhere. Bjork is wonderful.
the from pleasure to sadness part at the end fucking hell just kill me
Tonta Selma, a ti te culparan
This movie is devastating.. But my life and the torment and sorrow of it and also the one I love 3000 miles away transcends it
This movie should be made illegal. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch again. I keep telling myself I'll find the strength, but I just can't. :)
Gene's part kills me every time.
Small detail, but I've noticed that some versions of the film version do include the repetition with the vocal break/grit at 6:10 in the vocal take. In some versions it like just repeats one of the other repetitions exactly. I don't like this. The one with the vocal break is by far the better and most iconic version of this song and the most plaintive because you really get the clearest depiction of the raw emotional turmoil and desperation of the song and the character of Selma at this point in the film. Sometimes people's voices break unintentionally as a result of emotional strain or screaming or exertion. Vocal breaks are one of my favorite artifacts used in singing and I know that Björk (like most professional singers) is able to use them to great dramatic and emotional effect in her technique. Has anyone else noticed this? I just got the DVD of DITD in the mail from Amazon a couple days ago and it too does not have this vocal break at this point in the song. WHAT IS THE DEAL with this?
That's not a vocal break though. As much as i agree that vocal breaks highlight emotion and are underrated, if you know Björk's songs, this part was her doing like a smoky voice that sounds a bit like a break. It was a bit short here but she's able to pull it off in many performances.
ive always loved that part. its so emotional when her voice does that, its like the climax of her feelings.
Additon well whatever it is they should’ve kept it. Small details that add to a big picture. It was on the DVD 📀 of DIT that I rented back in 2005 but then it never appeared again on any other DVD 📀.
"Sleepyhead" got everything he deserved. That is a fact.
+Полина Раткина he loved this dick up his ass
Love doesn't mean being dishonest, also what a stupid behavior when you're like "I don't tell her and we don't find a way to solve a problem - I will just wait until we'll be kicked out of the house"
The "I killed your man part" is si hilarious when taken out of context
Aya Jab thank you !!
especially when the same time the wife is smiling and rising to cheer up the killer
this movie destroyed me.
Trigger Hippie My brother had to leave the theater when he saw it.
I saw it in 10th grade... I liked artsy movies always and managed to get it from the library back in 2004. I think I was depressed for like 3 months after I watched it. I never cried so hard in my life.... What a dousey. I wonder how the experience of watching it now would be....
❤️❤️❤️
