Bjork - Desired Constellation Lyrics

It's tricky when
You feel someone
Has done something
On your behalf

It's slippery when
Your sense of justice
Murmurs underneath
And is asking you:

How am I going to make it right?

With a palm full of stars
I throw them like dice
Repeatedly
I shake them like dice
And throw them on the table
Repeatedly
Repeatedly
Until the desired constellation appears
And I ask myself:

How am I going to make it right?
How am I going to make it right?
How am I going to make it right?
And you hear
How am I going to make it right?

As vezes me pego sonhando... sei q vc me odeia pelas similaridades de decisões erradas... no fundo epecicavelmente melhor q vc é, e não alguem q viesse de um mesmo aprendizado. Vc me apoia, mesmo me "odiando"... oi?!

Her voice when she sings 'How am I going to make it right?'... so calming, and at the same time struggling.

    C.... P....

Always gives me mad goosebumps..... pure magic

  4. T.... ....

This is so many samples and layers it’s crazy

  5. T.... T....

GREAT song and album! My favorite song on Medulla!

  6. m.... ....

omg i miss this era so much

  7. B.... B....

    the deepest lyric i know

  8. T.... ....

The background music sounds like the Wii menu music.

  9. G.... L....

"Constellation Dice" were inspired by this song...
"Throw them like dice on the table, Until the desired constellation appears..."
    Get one on Indiegogo...before May 30th 2015 :)

  10. T.... -....

    BEST thing ever from her

    T.... -....

one of her many hidden gems on this album.

  11. I.... o....

    Metric modulation brought me here!

    I.... o....

+Morlok Von Grimorog Yeah, triplets work, but since they don't divide evenly into measures grouped in twos, you're usually left with a remainder. Doing a metric modulation w/ 1/8 note triplets throughout a bar of 4/4 becoming the tempo of the actual 1/8 notes sounds super hip. I hope that made sense. It's hard to describe rhythm and meter concepts without seeing, hearing, or feeling.

  12. S.... B....

I remember hearing this song under the rainy Bus stop in Central London after realizing after 4 years that I was not dying from the doctor. It was a feeling I cant describe. However the same phrase lingers in the depths of my mind and heart. "How am I going to make it right?"

    S.... B....

+Sircharles Baxter i was in the bus 5 years ago...it was Mexico city...you are not alone....it is a feeling...something so unexplainable, so beautiful ...the sun was beautiful .... ...i don't know...but i love you, lets be one together :)

    S.... B....

Have you tried forgiving yourself? Its easier said than done at times I know.

  13. G.... D....

The noise in the background is a distorted sample of her vocal in "Hidden Place" It's actually only the line "I'm not sure What to do with it Or where to put it"

  14. D.... O....

great song. but it was from Medulla album ,it's supposed it was a vocal album,I dont understand why this song it's included

    D.... O....

The instrumental is altered vocals from the song Hidden Place from Vespertine

  15. J.... W....

this is her best song since the post/homogenic era

  16. G.... D....

For me, though, the thing about Biophilia is too much. Like if you were there for everything, the workshops, the science, the installations, the app, the website, the concerts and all that, it comes together as a whole. But the music part is where it falls apart. It needs it's other components. Without it, it just doesn't work as well as it should. That being said, I generally only listen to the singles from her then work my way to the album. But, while Homogenic is awesome, Medulla is THE best.

  17. C.... A....

    Is a awesome this sound

  18. L.... S....

First time I was introduced to Bjork. She is amazing!

  19. A.... ....

Hard to enjoy? What a weird backhanded compliment you just gave. This is far from hard to enjoy. The chilled out synth and her strong, angelic, resonant voice with all of that emotion behind her message makes this an exceptional composition.

  20. C.... A....

i love this song <3 yo amo esta canción <3

  21. s.... ....

This is one of my favorite Bjork songs. I love it.

  22. T.... ....

as fuck... and I don't understand it at all.

  23. a.... j....

her voice hits the chords 2 my soul...repeatedly!

  24. E.... O....

i'm early into the song and now all I can think about is what that scream will be like

  25. k.... ....

Agree!, 10 years is about right. I have a music background and listen to almost anything. But a truely free artist is priceless and will remain at the top of my apprieciation list!

  26. 2.... ....

I never get sick of Bjork's music. It's so magical.

  27. i.... ....

Yeah, maybe. And also because some people seem to think that complaining about "music these days" make them look smarter and their taste for music more sophisticated. No offence for someone who just realy didn't like Biophilia for no particular reason, but reading some opinions (not only about Bjork, of course) I sometimes feel like those people think this way.

  28. i.... ....

Exactly. I've noticed that there's a big Homogenic cult among Bjork's fans and I don't understand it. I mean, it's a great album, no doubt, but Vespertine and Medulla are equally good in my opinion.
And yes, I'm going to say it. Stone me if you want. Biophilia as well :D

    i.... ....

iugtydrsjxhfiudtr there is less protest from bjork now. She is now more forgiving, accepting, understanding, patient. And this is a maturity that many people cannot identify with, at least not when what they want are club bangers.

    i.... ....

I agree with you except for Biophilia. I thought I’d grow to love it over time but five years later and it’s still my absolute least favorite Björk album lol

  29. R.... V....

i actually think she made the instrumental for this from recording bits of "silence" in a room. that's my guess as to what the instrumental is for this track. it would seem fitting.

  30. O.... ....

Or, makeup and computer-work. She's probably not this pale.

  31. E.... ....

Yes it is, the brilliance of most of an album being created with no instruments. Damn

  32. s.... u....

Very soothing tune. Love you, Björk.

  33. J.... F....

My favourite song from Medúlla :)

  34. k.... l....

    Medúlla is underrated as fuck

  35. M.... G....

    uffffffffff what a song ... I ♥ Bjork

  36. V.... P....

    me too *____*

  37. K.... P....

    Peacefully, love videoclip too!!

  38. A.... ....

    the song is sooo beautiful

  39. A.... B....

holy shit i almost had a heart attack at 3:41, didnt expect that scream in my right ear xD (wearing headphones)

  40. F.... S....

excelente cancion, algo que solo la diosa de la musica Björk podria hacer
