Of all the years I’ve played guitar I’ve discovered that, to play billy talents songs in the correct key in the correct tuning (usually drop d) is a lot harder then you’d expect

The guitarist in this band is ridiculously good and unique

Isn't it always Drop D except when its drop Db which is basically the same ?

Dieses Alpaka I’m not to sure mate but a lot of there stuff sounds drop d. Db is even lower and would throw the whole guitar out of tune unless you compensate by tuning the rest of the strings a half step down too

@Chris Keegan Yeah of course tune down the other strings. They do have some drop Db stuff, like white sparrows for example.

@Grimmjow J. All generations followed socially constructed norms. Not once has there been a generation consisting of mainly deviants lol. All progress is made slowly. Billy Talent is punk, so they intentionally avoid musical norms. It's a granted that they aren't as popular as pop music.

first two were classics though

I'm from Quebec and almost everybody knows and love them here. Some don't because of Ben Kowalewicz's voice (which I personally find extraordinary and unique). But I've seen them twice in my hometown (which is also where Kowalewicz was born, according to him) and I always had a hell of a time in the crowd at their show. I've rarely seen this combination of visceral and raging energy with thoroughly and precise instrumental composing (System of a Down can be similar in this, but it's a different energy). Theses guys are unique. Gets in my guts, my heart, and my head. Hail Billy Talent.
