Soooooo gooood! I love the slower tempo, then the energy builds & the tempo picks up, then we get that amazing wall of synchronicity while Billy does his thing, then vocals at the end, too! Every time I check back in he's doing something different. New things are added, more interesting than the last, ridiculously good musicianship. I am DYING to see them! They rarely get to the west coast, though. We just aren't country-ish enough I guess. :(

Billy and the boys are about to bloooooow up. Saw them 2 years ago in Montana with like 15 friends on a Ski Trip... never considered ourselves bluegrass fans before but we've been consumed by Billy ever since!

Saw Billy Strings and Co up the road just this summer... Round the end of June, close to the 4th. Great time of year for everybody, and it was a good show. Just a wee little venue was all it was... The best kind.

This "kid" just won Instrumentalist of the Year, and New Artist of the Year at the IBMA's. He and his entire band are total virtuoso's. They are at the forefront of the Alt/Progressive Bluegrass scene helping to carry the torch of some of the more recent greats to do the same over the past decade+. Do yourself a favor and go check them out if they come anywhere near you. Do the same for Yonder Mountain String Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Trampled by Turtles, The Infamous Stringdusters, Punch Brothers, The Steeldrivers (formerly led by Chris Stapleton), etc, to name a handful of the bigger acts. Many, many good up and comers as well. Mindblowing live shows....all of em.
