Would highly recommend checking out jeff Buckleys version. My favourite intro of all time.

I'm sure that's what influenced this recording. Its hard to think they hadn't heard of VU in the early 70s. Remember the old saying, 'anyone who bought the first VU lp, started a band'. Listen to Rema Rema-Fond Affections, there's influences of both VU and Big Star.

I've always questioned the production on a ton of their music. I like them but they needed better production. Ditto the JayHawks. I wish I could have produced for them. Some of the songs are cut lousy but have great potential.
