Big Country - All Of Us Lyrics
Bad weather gathers all along the coast
When the storm clouds gather and my blood runs cold
If we can’t go further when we get to the shore
Then we have to turn around and fight some more
That’s enough of watching people trading hearts for gold
I can see you on the beach on your knees
Spilling more salt in an already dead sea
We’ll feel the wind and the rain in our face
You can it do yourself but I heard of a place
It’s got to be now and it better be together
When spirits make a meeting you can feel it forever
Bad weather gathers all along the coast
I can see you on the beach on your knees
Spilling more salt in an already dead sea
Run away with me again
Time for us to grow
Run away with me again
All of us alone

The strangest thing happened today April 4 2018, I'm watching Ottawa vs Buffalo hockey game and organist starts playing a tune. Holy shit sounds exactly like all of us at 45 second mark.
That and Winter sky pure class
Definitely my favorite B-side from them. So underrated, but what an amazing band
The genius of Stuart Adamson..x

Joseph Paladion how come it took that long?
Glad good things come to those who wait
Xenon i forgot the title of the song a very long time ago..and only had it as a b side to the single in a big country..when that was lost so was this song
Welcome aboard!
@Xenon forgot the title..looked for it growing up at every record store ive ever bought records at..remembered it recently and looked on YouTube and found it!!
BIG COUNTRY!!!!!
Great song...80's !
pure quality
They had such great melodic guitar tones completely unique
Great bside
One of the most beautiful rock songs of yearning I've ever heard... and then at the end of the song 'this' vocal melody; simply ethereal:
"Run away... with me again
Time for us to grow
Run away... with me again
All of us alone"
One of the best B-Sides I've ever heard. Glad they included it on the expanded version of The Crossing.
Excellent music. I have vinyl!!!
In memory, Stuart Adamson !!!
Favorite B-side. I would play this song on repeat. Never gets old. "I can see you on the beach on the knees spilling more salt in an already dead sea". Lyrical Genius, Stuart was.
Love the Yoda impression at the end there...
You canna beat a Big Country B-side. I adore this song and the B-sides to the Teacher, Look Away that had the Restless Natives soundtrack.
I've been collecting everything Big Country on vinyl for some time now. I can never get enough of these guys. The latest line-up is pretty good, I'd love to see them come to the states. Thanks for the video, I've enjoyed many of your postings.
+Jordan FanningI saw Big Country in 1983, and again in 2013 in the USA with the new lineup. THEY ROCKED!!!! This is my all time favorite band. In 1983 I saw them when the crossing came out- They were on fire, there was just NOTHING like them at the time and their live show was beyond description. When I saw them again a couple of years ago, I was so happy to see them make the effort to get out and play- And they still sounded amazing!!! I was so grateful for them going on tour again! I got to meet the band and they were the nicest, most humble guys you could ever meet. I have never heard anyone say a bad word about them, really great musicians and nice people. I LOVE BIG COUNTRY!!!
@Rachel Chaves
What a talent Stuart was! They're my favorite as well. You're very lucky for having seen them. I love their song "Buffalo Skinners." I can't believe that was omitted from the album. They're just awesome, and Bruce has done a great job picking up the guitar parts that Stuart used to play. I've got pretty much everything they've done now, including live videos and the movie they did the score for, 'Restless Natives.' I'll never get sick of listening to Big Country. They were very unique with their twin guitar work, and in my own opinion, much better than U2. They should have gone much further than they did here in the USA. One of the best, most underrated bands of all time.
Did u ever see them?
Love this tune!
