When I hear and see Steffany Gretzinger singing, I am reminded of the verse John 4:23, "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. And I am reminded to worship God as it says in the next verse, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” May God teach us how to grow in this level of worship and closeness to Him!

There's something terribly humbling and terribly terrifying about having all of your weaknesses and insecurities laid bare before a higher power. To really feel looked at. But there's also something soothing and exciting at the same time about the idea such a higher power loves you, personally. Not just in a general sense as you yourself might love all humans, but in a personal way, despite all they know about you. Like she sings, "You don't miss a thing."

I love this song it is so touching and helped me through many situations!

I was going through the testimonies written in these comments below while listening to this song and I'm so moved. This brought me to tears. Wow! What a wonderful God we serve.

A testimony:
Growing up, I never really had proper friends. There were kids I played with, but being an introvert, I never considered that friendship--anyone two kids can do that. I grew so desperate for friends that the other boys I liked, I tried to emulate their behavior and hobbies to get acceptance. That didn't work. In later elementary, I made a friend, but that relationship degraded into arguments and fighting. This and the fact that I was mildly bullied (as in it was made clear to me that I wasn't liked) by classmates, made me bitter toward friendships. I had no friends at all from junior high through freshman year of high school and that was fine with me. Because of all of this, I was very awkward socially and had to be taught by my parents how to socialize with people.

My mom had been praying that I get friends though, and at the start of my sophomore year, God worked in me so that I desired friendships. Over time, I made good friends in my church's youth group. However, the pain and rejection of my past made me afraid of being a bother to them and doubt their love, so I became a bit of a people pleaser. In my second year at youth retreat, God brought to the surface the pain of my past and I was healed. I forgave those who hurt me. At the end of the week, God told me to get baptized to delcare my death to the past, so I did it.

After I got back home, I listened to this song and almost cried. It was a reminder that I am not the pain of my past. I am not what other people say I am. I am who He created me to be, am known fully by Him, and am always accepted into His family. I'm still learning who I am in him as well as other things, but I'm not scared of my friends rejecting me anymore.

I remember the first time I watched this video. I was like 16 years old. I was a christian but somehow Steffany's worship made me feel like there was so much I didn't know about God and I prayed to Him that I wanted to worship Him just like that, that if there was sth I was missing He would reveal it so I could worship him so passionately. Definitely there is not one word we pray to Him that He doesn't hear. I am now about to turn 24 and now I can say how much this passion costs. For the past 5 years God made me go thru the hardest season of my life and though it was like hell he took me out and revealed to me in such a way that my heart explodes now of love and passion and fire for Him. I'm so thankful God heard my prayer. And I'm thankful for Steffany too.
