Modern worship teams have so much talent & resources, awesome but the slipping & sliding of the lyrics which are not scripturally correct, thus become a lie in the song is very upsetting. Kind of broke down on apologizing to God about my own agenda. I am a person who makes herself busy, I take on responsibilities where I don't have to but then I forget who is waiting for me. I can tell I just reading these posts that this song really brought people to self reflect and cry out to God. These are beautiful humbling cry's to the Lord for strength, help, comfort, understanding. So touching that I can't help but feel the same. Have mercy on is Father God, give us wisdom and peace. Help us to reach other's who need to hear of who you are, to love those we can barely stand, to share the good news. To not kick ourselves when we stumble, to stand up to temptations with your Word. I don't know why I'm typing this, but here goes. Being free from things which keep me from finding satisfaction 100% from Jesus is exactly what I want - not that community with fellow brothers and sisters is bad. We're called to have fellowship with one another in 1 John so that we may in turn have fellowship with the Father after all. But I know from the testimony of my lil' sis and others that learning the lesson of being satisfied with Him and nothing else (ha) is the key to becoming a servant filled with unquenchable love for others, since human love is limited and Jesus is the only source of love which never runs dry. This is an area I have struggled with - finding full satisfaction from Jesus.


I'm not a people-pleaser nor am I co-dependent on others by any means, but I've found myself feeling lonely and unsatisfied with the quality of community within the churches God has brought me to for almost my entire Christian life (I'm a 24 years old pastor's kid who's been part of three very good churches in my life so far) - even though on the surface I *should* be satisfied with the quality of my relationships on a worldly or even Christian-ly standard (I'm on the worship team, teaching Sunday school, part of leading a university fellowship, the pioneer of a mens' sexual brokenness ministry in my current church).


I know God is ushering me into this season of solitude and learning to find ultimate satisfaction in communion with him to equip me for my future callings...but I've just been petrified of this lesson and have been running away from it for the past while. I know I'm blessed to have the opportunity to learn this lesson, as many in the Church go through life masking this loneliness with false intimacy from relationships & marriage, service to the church, various sins (especially sexual), etc., and yet still feel lonely and dissatisfied. I don't want to run anymore. Would appreciate prayer from whomever is reading this.

Needed to hear this. Felt myself slipping into depression... This song pulled me up in time.

I used to suffer from depression due to some really horrible things I went through. 5 years ago I decided that every day I was going to thank God for something. There were days that all I could thank God for was that I got green lights all the way home. Nonetheless, no matter how big or small, I found something to be thankful for and I can honestly say the depression is gone!! Even my children noticed the difference. I encourage you to begin today to thank God for something no matter how small or big the blessing may be. I believe you will see a difference because you will be focused on God and His many blessings that He poured out on us who are so unworthy. God bless you.

Praying for you depression isn't easy but, always know God came giving you life and giving it to you abundantly. How true is your statement! I was angry with God for several years and backslid. I started to go back to church and one day on my bed I started talking to Him and right there His presence filled my room and I began to cry and told God how much I missed His presence and I rededicated my life to Him. There truly is nothing like His presence. Nothing compares. I can't wait to be with Him for an eternity!
