Bee Gees - Road To Alaska Lyrics

I'm on the road to Alaska ,nowhere near Nebraska,
but I'm sure if I asked her she'll know.
I ain't got no Honey, I'm so short of money.
I really really wanna go home.
I dialed Oklahoma, made attempts to phone her,
gave up when I got no reply.
I'm on the road to Alaska, nowhere near Nebraska,
but I'm sure if I don't ask her I'll die.

I found Cincinatti, out there I was happy, every single day of my life.
I had me a woman, she started to runnin' .
I really couldn't make her my wife.
She started to show which was she was goin', every single road she could go
I'm on the road to Alaska, nowhere near Nebraska
but I'm sure if I asked her she'll know

[Instrumental]

I made Cincinatti, out there I was happy, every single day of my life.
I had me a woman, she started to runnin'.
I really couldn't make her my wife.
She started to show which was she was goin' , every single road she could go
I'm on the road to Alaska, nowhere near Nebraska
but I'm sure if I asked her she'll know.
I'm sure if I ask her she'll know.
I'm sure if I ask her she'll know.

The Bee Gees wrote FOUR songs about US States..rather odd for a UK based band..all four are in one of my playlists..thanks for the upload..from (IMHO) the best Bee Gees album..

They are not Aussies. Australia has people originaly from Greece , Netherlands and so on . On US tv , Barry was asked if he was Australian or UK and he said he was UK !!! Only his sister is Australian and maybe Andy Gibb . Robin Gibb was a certified true Englishman ! They speak like true Mancunians. Maybe in Australia the Bee Gees are called Aussies but in the U S and UK they are UK only . :)

Whatever you wish to believe Sandy Sandy. I guess actor/director Mel Gibson isn't Australian then either. Yeah...look that one up.

Mel Colmcille Gerard Gibson AO (born January 3, 1956)[2] is an American-Australian actor and filmmaker. I call Mel a draw but leans more American . Hey seriously , Bee Gees are certified UK . :)

@Sandy Sandy - Mel's an Australian. I knew him personally in the '80s & promoted him in early films for release in America -- like "Tim," "Punishment," & "Mad Max." I had lunch with him just before he began to film "Mad Max 2" ("Road Warrior" in the USA).

Sorry, Sandy, I've been doing this for twenty years with these people. Their origins, and what is certified are in my biographical files created by the family, management and/or artist. Things are substantiated & verified. An opinion or off the cuff remark on a TV show doesn't figure into this. Bob Dylan said he rode the rails and was orphaned. None of it true in those early interviews.

I, myself, have citizenship in Italy & the US -- doesn't make me any more Italian though or from Italy. Richard Burton & Tom Jones are from Wales, not England. It's part of Great Britain but -- a different country. I've had to verify many small details like this.

If you move away to Finland for thirty years and someone asks you "where are you from?" You're from Finland. You can say you're not a citizen, or you weren't born there, but after 30 years of drinking their water, working there, spending their money & having an address there -- that's where you're from.

What you ultimately choose to believe is your business, Sandy Sandy. Just try to be as accurate as you can and leave your opinion out of it. And don't go to Wikipedia. They can say or write anything they want there. I can change it too and say The Bee Gees are from South Africa. Until someone notices it's wrong.

Why two identical names Sandy? Isn't one enough? Sandy is a great name by itself. Some would say two would suggest uncertainty & needs reinforcement. I hope not. You sound like a pleasant person.

Ok ok and i dig it . I will go with Mel being an Aussie but i will go to my grave with the Bee Gees being English and not Aussies. I have chatted with lots of Brits and they all say the Bee Gees are from England . I am sorry but i win that subject .. Sandy Sandy is easy to remember and has a ring to it . I am decent American . Hey i lived in the Far East for 8 years and all over the US . Glad you chatted decent . :)
