I remember when I was about 7 years old I used to listen to this album on repeat, but I asked my mum what "It" was and she told me it was about taking a piss in the road and I thought that was so funny I would sing this song all the time. Took me years to realise what it actually meant.

I have a great child hood story related to this song. my mom was/is a huge beatles fan, so growing up this stuff was always playing in the car. I was probably 5 or so when I went to my dad and said, "I know what they mean when they say ' do it in the road'" shocked he says, "oh really? what are they talking about?" I blushed and said "....going pee!!" then snickered and ran off. can't help but crack a smile when I hear this song.

My grandfather grew up listening to all this, jimi hendrix, Ian hunter, classic rock acts, & i was more into just nirvana... never knew much about older rock from the 80s and before, but he showed me this song, gave me his prized guitar, & i have never seen a 58 year old man sing and play his heart out more than this man. I will always *ALWAYS* credit him for getting me into better music, & opening my ears, i miss him tons.. this song rocks!
