ringo not only sang as the lead vocal but also wrote this song. he was on a yacht trip in sardinia and the captain told him that octopuses collect shiny things – like shiny rocks or tin cans – to put in front of their caves, like gardens!! ringo was SHOOK. it blew his mind so he decided to write a song about it. now we have this wonderful masterpiece 🐙⭐️

The bass is superb, the guitar licks are a nice touch. It may sound like a nursery rhyme but it rocks.

I know Abbey Road is full of classics but Octopus's Garden and Maxwell's Silver Hammer are the highlights of the album for me.
