Best song on the album by far

A few years ago, i was a fourth grader. I listened to 'i have a problem', 'in between', and 'aggressive' on repeat for at least a consecutive day.

I remember Aggressive and Disgusting were some of my favorite albums in high school. Almost 21 now and just understanding some of these songs to a deeper level than before.

I feel like this album is very repetitive, it's all good but I hear a lot of the same things in a lot of the songs on this album so far.

dankest kazoo You're definitely right, there's some really good material on it, but songs do struggle to stand apart from each other.

It's an album that you would put on and listen to fairly passively, maybe listen to individual favourites occasionally. Not one where you're thinking "Oh shit, X song is next" and just generally psyched the whole time.

He's got a knack for writing catchy choruses, but the guitar work is very stagnant, on every release so far to be honest, and it needs addressing. The tone is excellent, it sounds very abrasive and offensive, but the riffs are too simple and indistinct. And the breakdowns frequently lack the punch you'd expect them to have, some do have the power worthy of their build up though. It's still an assault on the ears, but incapable of rivalling material from other bands that seek punishing guitar work and breakdowns.

Okay, i love this song, but what in the HELL does fair weather friend mean? What is symbolic of?

It basically means they are a friend that's only around when things are going well. If your life starts falling apart or just going negatively, they aren't around to help you through difficult times. Once you get out of whatever you were struggling with, they tend to try to come back into your life.

Also about that friend when they need something or falling apart they comeback for you to fix em, then once him or her is okay again there outta your life....

Not too bad, but this is a big step back compared to their last album Disgusting. The vocals are not nearly as heavy or raw as their last album. Plus I think they went too popy with this album.

Fair Weather Friend and Sick of Me are probably the best ones on the album in my opinion. But literally every single fucking song on the album is absolutely mind blowing.

Same with every song on Disgusting. I didn't think it was possible to make another perfect album.

A little too soft for my liking, but still good as fuck.

I hate to be that one guy, but I hope in the next album Beartooth goes back to the Sick / Disgusting feel. This album is great, and I really like all the songs in it (esp Sick of Me), but it's not as raw sounding as Disgusting. Might just be me. There's also no song that I loved SO MUCH, in Disgusting it was Relapsing and Me In My Own Head, but in this album...I don't know, all the songs are equal. This is still an amazing album however, and I was dying for new Beartooth.
