Beach Boys - Do You Wanna Dance? Lyrics

Do you want to dance and hold my hand
Tell me baby I'm your lover man
Oh baby do you want to dance?

Do you want to dance under the moonlight
Hold me baby all through the night
Oh baby
Do you want to dance?
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance?

Do you want to dance under the moonlight
Kiss me baby all through the night
Oh baby
Do you want to dance?

Do you want to dance under the moonlight
Squeeze me, squeeze me baby all through the night
Oh baby
Do you want to dance?
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance?

Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance

Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance
Do you, do you, do you
Do you want to dance

  4. Angel Torres

    The first punk song

  5. Sonja Heyen

das sollte es unbedingt auf Spotify geben 😍😍😍

  6. bilbo baggins

fair ground music working the arc or speed way in the 6os play it loud

  7. Beach Boys

It was also a single taken from the album, IMHO one of their best singles... a masterpiece from start to finish!

  8. Natalie Brogan

    DENNY!!😍❤️❤️

  9. Jimmy Tee Rex

Dennis should've been the group's frontman with Love on the drums. Why he wasn't with his looks, charisma and singing ability, I'll never know.

  10. Ty Willinganz

"The Beach Boys Today" is easily one of the most underrated pop albums of the rock era

    antartic orb

    You are definitely correct

  14. vicki lant

So many great songs by The Beach Boys and this one of them.

  15. Talltrees84

Classic American music of the early rock era. Too many people place The Beach Boys in a cubby hole of California Surfer Music. They could do any genre of music they chose. This was the one they chose and they made the most of it. Had a brief come back in the mid-80's with "Get You Back." Not a So Cal surfing tune but very good. Do what you best. Will live on in the history of rock, the history of music and in our memories.

  16. gladasya 10

I love the B-side to this single--Please Let Me Wonder. Both songs would appear on the album The Beach Boys Today.

  17. beth d

    Love this 😃

  19. Emma Speck

Aww Dennis I love u he masters this song so we'll❤️❤️❤️

  20. Rockerman pre

    worst home mixing job!

  21. surfohio

The “worst” singer in the band, Dennis is a pretty great in his own right!

    Emma Speck

I'll admit the worst one was mike definitely not Dennis but my opinion is just really cause I love Dennis but I like brians the best

  22. 69andhappy

    Cliff Richard's version much better.

    Emma Speck

How could u say that my sweet little Dennis's was amazing he did it so we'll ❤️💖 💖 no offense

  23. Benji The Rabbit

nothing will ever beat the low quailty sound of an 8 track playing this song

  24. Nicholas Votel

Who disliked this? Show yourself coward!

  25. Positive Reinforcefeed

this song always comes on in the 'background' when I'm challenging the insufferable darkness in my mind to a fight...

  26. Grant Robertson

Love this song and love the beach boys!!! I think the beach boys are better than a lot of others songs today.

  27. Doug paradise

I was finishing high school and learning to surf when the Beach Boys hit the music charts. They were one of a kind and a great band that was so special!

    bighand69

Those day are gone never to return.

  28. Megan Shell

This kinda sounds like waiting by green day

    Downfall

If you thought that sounded like Waiting... try this song

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downtown_(Petula_Clark_song)

it makes sense though, Green Day was heavily influenced by the Ramones, who did a lot songs that were essentially 60s bubblegum pop but played loud and fast.

  29. Gnathorn

What the hell are these guys doing in the album cover? xDDDD Chocolate train?

    Austin Martens

They’re sitting side by side and looking behind themselves

  30. The Spirit Of Radio 99

The Beach boys introduced me to rock! I've been listening to them ever since I was 7!!!

  31. sugafoot820

such a great song written and produced by bobby freeman , the beach boys and the ramones both did an ok cover

    Joe Giersher

This, at least this version, was produced by Brian Wilson. Though there were two songs on the original Beach Boys Today album that Wilson didn't write, this being one, he wrote most of them and produced the whole album.

  32. Seth Carlow

wonderful Weekend song I love it.
Awesome time to party Fanfiction style with Tiny Toon and Loony Tunes and Harry Potter.

  33. Johnnralph

One of the few songs that Dennis Wilson sang lead on ..

  34. King Rick

    GREAT song!

  35. Joy Henley

Awesome, sensational song...the volume always goes way up! Beach Boys forever!!!

    Emma Speck

    Yesssss

  36. Degree7

That Phil Spector wall of sound.

    poopface

    Ol' Philly Speck.

    Bill A

What a lot of people don't know is that, in the studio they've used multiples of each instrument then mixed them down to achieve that "big" sound you are hearing in this video. Interesting trickery back in the day, before today's digital wizardry ;)

    jennifur sun

Brian admired his wall of sound so that is no big secret

    Emma Speck

I hate Phil Spector he scared Brian 😢😢

  37. Eric Dangerfield

why is the beach boys written in the beatles style font

    Attacknun

just to throw more salt in the wound

  38. Felipe Centurión

The best cover ever of this song: Attaque 77

    danielscissorhands

Not. There version is just like a shitty foreign language version of the Ramones cover.

    sugafoot820

the original sound the best to me by bobby freeman

  39. Amanda F.

Dennis Wilson was such a cutie....😈 I wish I was around when they were in their heyday...

    G Boo

    girl I know that's right mmm ;D

    jennifur sun

i was around wish i could have seen them with no screaming girls

    Dmitri Petrov

@jennifur sun I can attest that there are still screaming girls TO THIS VERY DAY!!!!

    jennifur sun

you are probably right. the Screaming Mimis are the reason I would have never paid good money to go to a concert of my favorite bands.

    Emma Speck

    So truuuuueeeee

  40. RFKFANTS67

    I love this song

  41. MattGurley

Ramones did this song because they loved pop music and the Beach Boys. Brian Wilson commented once that he thought their version was "delightful". Both versions have something great to offer.

    Jimmy Calhoun

+MattGurley - I was familiar with this version from childhood, but hearing the Ramones version later just completely blew me away.

    sugafoot820

the original is so much better by bobby freeman who wrote and produced it, it has that rock and roll feel to it the way its supposed to be

    sugafoot820

I think they both covered the song because they like r&b this was an r&b song first

  42. Archibald Weatherby

The Beach Boys--there was so much more to them than just a few pretty boys having fun in the sun. They were real deal pioneers and artists.

    poopface

Wud Dude you and me both brotha

    Brian DiVincenzo

Agreed ! I honestly think that Brian Wilson is the 20th and 21st Century's closest thing to Mozart that we'll get. The man is the definition of musical genius.

    Brian DiVincenzo

I mean "Pet Sounds" isnt just an amazing album... It is a masterpiece and a true work of art.

    Hank Zumbahlen

Archibald, don't get me wrong, the Beach Boys dis some great stuff. But this songs a cover.

  43. MusicDude86

Quite possibly the best version of this song. But that's just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions....

    No One

+Peter Gerstenzang I didn't know that Dennis was singing on this. I guess it makes sense since Carl sounds way different vocal wise on I Can Hear Music XD . I used to have a Best of album of theirs where I would look at who sang what. Obviously I forgot or misremembered who sang on this one! XD

    Bill A

What a lot of people don't know is that, in the studio they've used multiples of each instrument then mixed them down to achieve that "big" sound you are hearing in this video. Interesting trickery back in the day, before today's digital wizardry ;)

    steve johnson

    Still prefer the ramones

    Murray Passarieu

@Peter Gerstenzang Dennis sang "Little Girl (You're My Miss America)" on Surfin' Safari

    dont worryboutit

Opinions are a lot like assholes, but im not here to eat opinions

  44. Bobbie Askren

OMG !! Mike Love without a hat !! Dennis kills it on lead vocal !!

    Peter Gerstenzang

@Bobbie Askren Well put. Before the bullshit set it.

    Jorge Puga

    @Emma Speck HAHAHAH

  45. Broadsidejohn

What a great cover of one of the best songs, although it was a simple theme. They still managed to convey romance, unlike the Ramones.  Thanks!

    R3dFoX

@Broadsidejohn Completely not agree. Ramones have loved Beach Boys and they tried to bring the Romance at their own level with what they could do without even knowing how to make some pretty music.
Do you know why they have called themselves "Ramones" ?

    Matsuoka Shun

+RedRenegade5 for Paul McCartney or, better said, Paul Ramon?

    R3dFoX

    +RealSoundAdrian Yep exactly !
