Beach Boys - Auld Lang Syne Lyrics

Should old acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind
Should old acquaintance be forgot
And days of Auld Lang Syne
For Auld Lang Syne, my dear...

Hi, this is Denny, and speaking for the rest of the guys I'd like to say that it has been a great pleasure for all of us to bring you this Christmas album. We hope you will treasure it the way we do. And if you hap happen to be listening to this album right now, Mike, Brian, Carl, Al and I would like to wish every one of you a very merry Christmas, and we hope the new year brings you as much happiness as this year has brought us. Thank you very much.

...May old acquaintance be forgot
And days of Auld Lang Syne

Does anyone know where I can get sheet music for this? I Googled it, and the only place I could find it was in a large Beach Boys songbook. I don't want to buy an entire songbook for this one song.

Lol this is a late reply but Alan Deane has a perfect arrangement of it: http://www.surfermoon.com/tabs.shtml

The Beach Boys' arrangement was - strictly speaking - derived from The Four Freshmen, whom Brian Wilson owes his early musical influences.

and Brian Wilson always acknowledged that influence when speaking on the music/arrangements and such. Brian Wilson was...is....a class act.

I just listened to Reliant K's. It is smoother, a little too smooth IMO but whatever. It's clearly it's based on this version, even down to the cheesy voice over (which is missing on this upload but on the original had Dennis say a few words). There are also the conditions under which it was recorded, the Beach Boys were contractually obliged to pump out a Christmas record and they put the minimal amount of effort into it so they could concentrate on their real music.

Relient K does it better in my opinion, because they blend it better. But I do give props to the Beach Boys for the arrangement.

interesting arrangement. too bad their attack is so mushy and swoopy.

    W.... E....

I believe that mushiness and swoopiness is intentional.

@Onefleshabiding16 i would like to say that relient k sounds like beach boys, even though i am a fan of both! :)
