Bayside - Blame It On Bad Luck Lyrics
Pound my knuckles hard against the floor.
My head against the wall.
But I did this to myself.
Assume it's just not worth getting back up,
so I'll blame it on bad luck.
I spent some time in a bad place at 18,
wishing I could see something through clear eyes.
Do you ever wake up to realize
that your life is meaningless?
Does it give you strength or lead you to
your grave at a young age?
Pound my knuckles hard against the floor.
My head against the wall.
Assume it's just not worth getting back up,
so I'll blame it on bad luck.
And I'll shake responsibility, yeah.
It seems that when I ran away from my past
all my dignity, my faith, my pride got left back.
And now I think it's time that I realize
self pity's meaningless.
Though I'm 10 feet deep,
I'll claw my way back out from in my grave.
Pound my knuckles hard against the floor.
My head against the wall.
But I did this to myself.
Assume it's just not worth getting back up,
So I'll blame it on bad luck.
And I'll shake responsibility.
And say a hard life did this to me.
Now I realize, I'd give anything I have
to walk a day in my old shoes.
Wondering what my first smoke would be like,
my first fuck, my next fuck up.
{Or} the next band that would change my life
and it changed my life
and it changed my life.
Pound my knuckles hard against the floor.
My head against the wall.
But I did this to myself.
Assume it's just not worth getting back up,
So I'll blame it on bad luck.
And I'll shake responsibility.
And say a hard life did this to me.

Maybe my favorite Bayside song.
Wednesday 13 November 2019. Music Hall of Williamsburg. (Going).
the ultimate depression/going through a rough time song
2019...still relatable....
Bayside are by far one of the most underated bands of all time music and lyrics are outstanding. My favourite band for around 16 years now 🤘
Loved this band in high school, coming back at 29 and really have a different view on their music and lyrics speak differently now it's cool
God I love the tightness of the band players mixed with an amazing underrated voice brings this music into tomorrow with ease!
Real music
shit takes me back.
One of the best songs to listen to if you feel shitty
Fukin best!!!!!
This song still slaps
Love ya bayside
Does it give you strength or lead you to your grave at a young age? That shit is real life.
Say anything to make a hit aye guys.. This is were it all stared. Blame this type of music for todays hiphop.
Nice try
yeah i call bullshit
Can't blame mine on bad luck
hell of a lot of silence at the end...
Huuuuuuuuh yeahh
Love this damn song....
it's the best song ever
I'll tell you this. Hearing this as a "troubled" minority in my younger years hoping I wouldn't become a statistic only to become one really hits deep. I love it. Hopefully there are other "minorities" who listened to this and when heard the chorus cringed at the thought of going to jail, fucking up etc., etc. I'm sure white people have thought the same but for a minority it's a little different knowing the majority of the people who listen to "Emo" or the majority of the bands (Aside from Blocparty? and TV on the Radio who are arguably more Indie than Emo) are white. So There's That!
Oh, and your grammar sucks, so you're another minority statistic there as well...Wow, you're on a roll adrian andre, cause it is...
Poe's law.
I'd like my name to be Adrian Andre, cause it is... i was always the black sheep of my family. Jail 6 times, drugs, addiction, angsty teenager with depression and lashed out because of how broken i felt.
when someone tries to racialize rock music and ur just sitting there sucking ur teeth
white people are always so uncomfortable when race is brought up. its hilarious, proves OP right about the alienation, and shows how out of touch you are.
This hits deep
Bayside my favorite band I know all these words and in the other version
heck yeah
Still so fucking good.
Self pity is meaningless.
self worth is equally meaningless
This song gets randomly stuck in my head.
Listening to this 18 and now I'm 26 and about to get married :/
be happy man ❤
haha same age here! driving to work thinking that by now i wouldve grown out of this music but nope nope nope
32 divorced ha ha ha FTW
Cheers and good luck bro/homegirl. 🍻
Bayside stole my soul.
lmfao that's definitely how i'm singing this from now on
I swear when I first heard this I thought Anthony says "Pound my uncle's heart against the floor"
beeeeeenr OH MY GOD I will never hear it the same ever again. 😂😂😂
"Pound my uncle's heart against the floor
My aunt against the wall"
LOLLLLL
This song is incredible.
Needless to say I woke up on some dude's couch after listening to this all night.
Lol wut?
i like the acoustic version better
That's not the point.
Ever since I heard this song, any time we had something mis-fortunate happen, I blamed it on bad luck
Saw them preform this At warped tour on the 18th. They were amazing. <3
the crows wasn't even pumped though, I was probably the most hyped for them.
Sickest song ever.
Bayside is too sick
I LOVE this song so much!! I used to listen to it all the time when I was 18 :O
MY knuckles are fucking bleeding, and my head hurts....but I will always love Bayside.
White people are wild
Primero, lol
