I know she's successful, but don't understand why she's not a household name in the US. She is lovely, soulful, talented, cool...this video only has 191K views in 6 years, ffs. I dig her. :-)

She IS a household name in my opinion. She has written the musical "the waitress" and was nominated for 18 Tony awards (3 personally) and a Grammy. She's just not on the chart route so much anymore, which makes less people care about her than about Nicki Minaj or whoever is the girl that shakes her butt to recordings these days.
