Comparing performances by two such distinct artists is an insult to both to them. You may prefer one over the other, but to say hers "doesn't come close" is ridiculous.
Chris N not true. There is not enough swing and play in her rhythms, they’re too measured and formal. She doesn’t understand the childlike nature of the melody, she doesn’t sing it from deep inside.

The recording was made in 1967, only a few months after she gave birth, and intended for the "Simply Streisand" album. But it was shelved for whatever reasons. Glad it has been released. Classy perf.
