  13. S.... F....

Who came here from the Politician?

  14. S.... M....

Who else came from the politician 🖐

  15. B.... J....

    The Politician

  16. F.... D....

Now I understand the scene from "The Politician"!

  17. H.... T....

    I’m here for The Politician

  18. j.... ....

    Love this movie so much.

  19. J.... S....

Kiss behind each ear, kiss each eye lid, move to each peck then to the lips tenderly then deep! Judy Sherry

  20. C.... M....

Her hands are so beautiful her nails are always perfect she was 28 at this time 1970 on a clear day.

  21. M.... C....

And also....this song was not even IN the Broadway version , it was added here specifically for Babs. This was done all the time in Film Musicals. (They also did this for her in Funny Girl and Hello, Dolly)

  22. M.... C....

So much I could say....How about this? I saw this as a kid....I thought that the "in the present " segments were cute and funny. They still ARE....(so much that as a kid, I didn't even REALIZE when I first saw it that it was JACK playing her stepbrother.) But the 1815 segments, I didn't "get". My GOD. I do NOW as an adult. This took a G rating in 1970? I had forgotten that Vincent Minnelli did this. It shows. Amazing detail to period mixed with light comedy that only the Director of Gigi and An American in Paris could give. And her outfit? Cecil Beaton....did it for Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady and strikes again here! The jewels reflecting with camera with perfect timing. So underrated. The LEGENDARY Nelson Riddle Supervised and Orchestrated the score.

  23. j.... s....

We got married in a fever. Hotter than a pepper sprout. We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson ever since the fire went out.

    j.... s....

Well, she's no Nancy Sinatra. 😋

  24. C.... W....

Well that was certainly an acting lesson on how to be enticed with a glass of wine!! LOL

  25. J.... W....

Beyond sexy without being trash. This is HOT!!!

  26. R.... D....

Pure Vincent Minnelli. He takes an unusual looking woman and makes her look incredibly stunning. Look at the magic he did with Judy Garland in Meet Me in St. Louis. The man deserves every bit of praise he ever received.

  27. J.... S....

Mrs Brolin is a bloody miracle. she is one of the greatest singers of all times she is so gifted in anything she puts her heart and soul in. But she paid her dues and I am very happy that she found a perfect man to stand by her side.
She is very sensitive and hard willed
She has been a joy to love.

    J.... S....

    i tottally agree

  28. A.... D....

It seems that in this other life the protagonist is a French revolutionary.

    A.... D....

    English psychic

  29. J.... S....

    Stunning song, stunning singer!

  30. C.... N....

So much sexier than porn.     Seducing just with the eyes?   (mainly)   wow

  31. T.... M....

Love the costumes Bravo Cecil Beaton.

  32. f.... ....

Can't believe they just flirt like this in public in late Georgian era but I still love it.

    f.... ....

The rest of them were too busy munching to notice!! 😂😂

  33. A.... F....

    Wicked! Unmatched <3

  34. k.... c....

I can't wait to find this film once again and buy it.....

  35. k.... c....

see the gorgeous blonde Robert Tendrees (real name John Richardson) after his divorce he moved to a small village in the UK....and still gorgeous.......see that gold trimmed Royal Pavilion where she did the scene outside (its at Brighton) off a main road and unreal...I lived in London 3 yrs and when I saw it in person...I gasped...its that bright and stunningly beautiful. In 1970 when this film first came out, I knew...I had to be there so I fulfilled my own dream. But sadly I came home a week before Diana died..and I didn't have to come back...
    My life's error.......John's alone, 84 and I adore him..always have always will.

  36. d.... v....

I don't think in my 63 years have i ever seen and heard such beauty.

  37. C.... T....

This is by far the most stunning, seductive, and musically priceless scene in any movie.
That gown and the headdress......takes your breath away......
And that song........what an incredible vocal rendition of those lyrics..........no words can express.......

  38. M.... ....

She better slow down before he leaps across the table. God, she's gorgeous!

  39. F.... b....

The femininity, the elegance, the class, the beauty. Astounding. Her flawless signature cat eye makeup, perfect bosom, and long hands and nails to die for. Just the perfect woman. And that pearl and diamond cocktail ring on her left hand was perfection. Cecil B KNEW how to work with barbras beautiful features and perfectionism to maximize her beauty. One of the greatest Streisand movies ever made.

  40. A.... M....

Sung impeccably while wearing a stunning Cecil Beaton creation. My kind of diva.

  41. M.... ....

Only Babs could make performing fellatio on a glass of wine look so seductive. You know girlfriend was dippin' and doin' it with this hot man while filming.

  42. B.... E....

Who is the man... never heard of again or before! Love this song

  43. d.... w....

So beautiful she is!! The set lighting and make-up are perfect. A definite come heather look ! I've lost count how many times I've watched this clip.
Her voice should be declared a National Treasure!. Only wish she was singing it to me.

  44. j.... ....

one of my favorite movies !!!!!!!

  45. r.... f....

…none of the loves that you have known ... could prepare you for the love raging everywhere in me...

  46. R.... R....

    Gorgeous

  47. B.... b....

Gay or not I'd love to motorboat those magnificent chichis Barbra has got there.

    B.... b....

    Bri ban chichis. Bahahahahaha

    B.... b....

I get it....she's the exception for you....and fabulous.

    B.... b....

Oh... those chichis are truly to die for! 😍

  48. w.... ....

her very eyes smolder. this is sensuality to rival the most legendary movie goddesses: Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Sophia Loren, Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner... need I go on?

  49. a.... g....

I'm sorry but you gotta  look at her hands....the jewels and her fabulous nails....dear lawd I wanna look like that, lol (in my dreams!).

  50. a.... g....

OMG - is this a sexy song or what?  And Barbra is absolutely fkn gorgeous..... not rest til there's nothing more desired....

    a.... g....

Yes but the sexual orientation comes from her you have to be born with what she has. It is a gift!

  51. E.... ....

Beautiful song, so beautifully sung by Barbra. I can't help notice the other dinner guests and the way they devoured their food. They must have been raised by Fagin!

    E.... ....

Best love scene ever song is so sensual.

  52. D.... G....

If you're as old as I am, you'll know that this was a bit scandalous in 1970 -- Barbra placing a wine goblet in her décolleté! But the song is beautiful, and so is Barbra. The movie is somewhat sad because this gigolo was indeed untrue and caused her eventual execution.

    D.... G....

He was a cad, but she doesn't know that here

    D.... G....

    What movie is this from??

  53. G.... M....

It sounds a little like MY FAVORITE THINGS. But I love Babs and her gorgeous voice!

  54. R.... A....

I've always loved this song and it's lyrics, but my favorite line is "Toss in some jealousy and doubt should it be required". Other than the theme song of the movie, this is my favorite song from the film.

  55. D.... D....

Barbra Streisand has the most beautiful hands I have ever seen on any other women.

    D.... D....

    Di Di

You mean: “on any other woman’, don’t you,....?

    D.... D....

Not just her hands ,the fullness and shape of her lips are beyond beautiful 😍💫😍💫

  56. b.... l....

@ Miss JessieA Indeed the most exquisite lyrics!!!!!!!!

  57. b.... i....

    What in the hell ?

  58. R.... D....

Great Song can i share it on facebook

  59. C.... R....

Absolutely my most favourite love scene from any movie!

  60. t.... ....

Barbra's best, most beautiful moment on film!

  61. S.... E....

My my .... I could use a cigarette after that.

    S.... E....

    Michael K. I could use a cold shower !!

    S.... E....

THAT is JUST hilarious.....and I definitely would have to agree with you!!!!

    S.... E....

    light me

    S.... E....

    thats so funny

  62. R.... F....

Brighton Pavilion, bah! Ugliest building in England, and the roof leaked like a sieve. Is Inigo Jones' Banqueting House at Whitehall not still standing?

    R.... F....

I think George IV (then Prince of Wales) really DID have his extravagant parties there. Minnelli and Lerner going authentic with the actual location. It IS rather gaudy isn't it?

  63. C.... E....

Thank You So Much for posting this! I will be watching it over & over again. One of my favorites! I have always thought this was the most sensual, sexy, music/movie songs I've ever seen. You could feel the electricity between Melinda & Robert. She's a good actress too! I got to see her Aug 6 in Vegas. She's the Best!

  64. J.... C....

love Barbra I think it's perfect the way it is....

  65. D.... ....

    hot, Hot HOT !!!!

  66. W.... E....

this WOULD be what a Vincente Minnelli movie in the 1960s would look like. lmao

  67. t.... s....

4 people aren't getting all the trimmings!

    t.... s....

Fuck them! I'm going to see Barbra tomorrow night at the Barclays Center!

    t.... s....

How was the show? It must have been truly wonderful!

    t.... s....

My daughter and I saw her in Boston at TD Garden last August. Magnificent.

  68. t.... s....

I want that waistcoat with the feathered collar!

    t.... s....

    I want him.

  69. M.... R....

Gracias Leandro y por favor sube I Rathere be Blue over you de Funny Girl, no la encuentro.

  70. P.... V....

Listening to Barbra is like fine red wine ☺️

  71. A.... C....

    So happy for ya!

  72. S.... D....

What a FANTASTICALLY sexy song! He certainly is drop dead gorgeous.....also.

    S.... D....

John Richardson...lives in the UK..84 and still blued splendor

  73. K.... K....

If they had originally managed to keep out the incongruous kettle drums and the (thankfully omitted in this clip) goofy recorder solo at the end...It would have made a love ballad for the ages.

  74. M.... ....

Always loved the song and the lyrics; just wished that maybe Liza Minnelli could have been the one to sing it; would really like to have seen Barbara Harris from the Broadway show cast in this flick instead.  Just my own personal preference.  I wonder why no popular recordings of this song were ever made.  As far as males, Tony Bennett could have done wonders with it, and I'll bet Paul Petersen could have given the lyrics a lot of pathos and meaning.

    M.... ....

Barbra was perfect, she looks and sounds stunning! I love Liza, but she never looked or sounded this good, one of the most beautiful scenes ever filmed!

    M.... ....

    I know I am replying to a 2 year old post...but wtf?

    M.... ....

then get the fuck outta here....

    M.... ....

@MrManorAvenue No that's ok a lot of people liked Barbara Harris' Broadway version better. But....their voices are so different. They brought in superstar Nelson Riddle to orchestrate and Arrange the Score more for Streisand. I say it's ok to like both! The plots in the past for Melinda are very different from stage to screen anyway.

    M.... ....

I think Liza was a bit too young...she didnt do Cabaret until 2 years later...if they had just waited 5 or 6 years....she'd have been great as Daisy/Melinda ...directed by her Dad.

  75. C.... ....

    luv this hot

  76. M.... J....

Can we please just take a moment to appreciate these absolutely gorgeous lyrics? The way she sings them, with such earnest, completely encapsulates the depth of a woman's love.
"For I’ll decode every breath and every sigh
    Till your every lover's wish
    Is fulfilled before it's made
Toss in some jealousy and doubt
    Should it be required
Not to rest till there's nothing more desired
    Thus loving as I do
Never, never will you ever be untrue
Having love with all the trimmings
    Waiting home for you..."

    M.... J....

+ASwept&GarnishedLife - I believe she is beautiful - not to mention her style of singing.. Gosh.. I love this song. Thank you Miss JessieA for posting the words.. they are truly lovely.. Hey - I did a good imitation at a bar back in the 70s.. It worked! LOL

    M.... J....

Miss JessieA not to be cheesy but that's why I've been married for 27 years, knowing the importance of "love......with all the trimmings" 😊

    M.... J....

.. til your every lover's wish is fulfilled before it's made

    M.... J....

yeah yeah but I'd rather look at the blonde John Richardson's blue eyes

    M.... J....

toss in some jealousy and doubt...should it be required............

  77. c.... h....

    Da boobs doee..

  78. R.... M....

Always gives me a woody. Thank you for posting.

  79. M.... ....

Watching her sing the way she did ...to that gorgeous man...then and now...still has that fiery effect. The steamy feeling at that distance...omg I'd love to feel that. I think I'm too old for a man who'd want me like THIS...now. lol

    M.... ....

AH Angela...that is so sweet of you. I know what you mean. I met one man ...finally...after being friends for years. Ya know...a FB friend. Sweet guy. For a change. We kissed. The kind that makes fireworks. I never thought that would happen in my life. After 4 marriages(2 didn't count)....to find a guy like this...amazed me. I just regret not meeting years ago. He says the same. I just don't want to be pushy ...but it's not easy to hold back saying "I am IN love" to him. You're right...we gotta live...not just a little. A lot!!! *Genie*

    M.... ....

or live a LOT... Nicely said, Angela.

    M.... ....

The guy I mentioned....just up and stopped talking to me in July. I know why. It breaks my heart. I realized not that I fell IN love ....but that it was truly the first time I ever did. I think he did also....but the problem is...we were both married....unhappily to someone we each didn't feel a love for. He got divorced....I haven't yet. I think he's mad at me for that. But it's not easy...to get out. I'd never give up on that guy...will always have him in my heart. The divorce thing....I'm hoping to get the paperwork on a roll. The wait is crazy. It's time to be free...to be the me I wanted to be...and be happy. Maybe then he will want me. If not...it is what it is. His choice. *Genie*

    M.... ....

Muffett What's the update with this story???

    M.... ....

never say that....to think...that gorgeous blue eyed God is single, lives in the UK, divorced, 85 and yet I would give ANYTHING TO HAVE HIM until nothings left....
and when I lived in the UK a few yrs...I had that kind of love....and walked away. MY LIFE'S GREATEST ERROR......so you're wrong Muffett....love is real

  80. R.... ....

Pure seduction !  Love her voice, and nails...

  81. e.... ....

for me this song is all about her manicure.

    e.... ....

LOL! She did look very sexy in this number, though.

    e.... ....

@emerybayblues no...its all about the 6'1 John Richardson...blonde and gorgeous...and I wish he were mine. He's single and lives in the UK..OK....I can wish.

    e.... ....

@emerybayblues PS...I was younger during those years and noticed she always had those nails....interesting. She's so pretty

    e.... ....

keri caye I think they make her already-long fingers look longer. But she is gorgeous in this scene. Beautiful song, sung beautifully...

  82. E.... L....

One of the sexiest Barbra's video clip. She looks awesome. Beauuuuutiful !

  83. c.... h....

This scene in the movie is where the saying "eye sex" came from.
P.S. I want to lick her cleav. I'm just sayin!

    c.... h....

colorme happy - I wholeheartedly agree with your P.S. Yum! 😛

  84. S.... ....

    John Richardson

  85. S.... ....

Barbra Streisand never looked as lovely as she does in this scene. The Royal Pavillion at Brighton, the costume by Cecil Beaton, the cinemaphotograpy by Harry Stradling, and especially the direction by Vincente Minnelli make this a moment to treasure. Twenty-five years before, when he was directing Judy Garland in "Meet Me in St. Louis", he did the same thing with her. Magic. Sheer magic...

    S.... ....

    SanGiovese

  86. R.... ....

She's wearing an enormous Faberge egg!

  87. J.... J....

Watched the film for the first time in about 40 years last night! I had forgotten this is the reason I have loved her since I was young...Truly fabulous <3

  88. o.... ....

I love how she just slipped a glass of wine right down her chest @ 2:37 and NOBODY seems to notice! Lol and her and the woman @ 2:04 just chowing down on that chicken!

  89. B.... ....

    Who is that gorgeous man?

    B.... ....

Bootsie642 John Richardson. He also stared in “One Million Years BC” with Raquel Welch and “She” with Ursula Andress. He was born in 1932. He stopped acting in the 1980s and became a photographer.

  90. A.... J....

I mostly remember this song because of that dress of hers... Hot damn she's beautiful.

  91. M.... M....

    Just beautiful And so sexy

  92. A.... P....

Melinda Tentrees is the best Striesand Character so beautiful and sensual and Regal in her own right!

  93. 6.... ....

The goblet is having a ball!

  94. S.... M....

Stunningly talented & beautifu ... timeless elegance & poise.

  95. 6.... ....

She has great majesty in this scene. She is a sorceress, a seductress, an enchantress - absolutely stunning.

    6.... ....

So well said, 65...Beauty and art this perfect will last forever.

  96. R.... G....

How could anyone say that she is ugly?!?

    R.... G....

    She is.

    R.... G....

    @M.J. C. you are blind

  97. m.... v....

she is absolutely beautiful,,, am going to go see the Broadway show with harry con-nick jr,, only thing i am upset about is they changed the story,, the role of daisy gamble is no more its been changed to a gay man called David gamble,,, why couldn't they just leave it like the original,,

    m.... v....

I agree, Mimi, most likely a PC decision. It could be, though, that there is no actress who could possibly fill Streisand's enormous shoes. Remember a few years back when they tried to revive "Funny Girl" with Debbie Gibson?! Yikes! What a disaster that was! Streisand is a talent that will never be equaled. She is truly a national treasure. For her legacy I just wish she wasn't so politically strident as it turns many people off.

    m.... v....

I ve seen the clips on here they went in an even different direction.....David Gamble recalls his past life as Melinda Wells----1940s Jazz Singer....new songs (really recycled old ones)I believe they use this one...Love with all the trimmings but I don't know how. Seems like someone posted that it was with a guitar! In this version, Mark is more openly passionate toward Melinda.
*Spoiler Alert* In this version Melinda is going to go sing with Glenn Miller...and goes down in his plane. And Mark of course, knows this. There's sometthing so compelling about this show/movie.

  98. 5.... ....

truely one of the most beautiful striesand moments
the dress the women the song the voice and the cyrstal goblet
    nuff said enjoy
