Barbara Mandrell - Black And White Lyrics

Aren't we the same two people
Who took those vows that mean nothing now
Didn't we sit at this table as husband and wife
Now we're on opposite sides
Is this the way love ends
With paper and pen

It's all there in black and white
All the words that separate our lives
It's all there, wrong or right
But love falls between the lines
It's something you can't write
In black and white

Can we forget all the good times
And never look back, it is as easy as that
Can we be sure that it's finished
With tears in our eyes, can we say that we tried
It's all come down to this
Is there something that we missed

It's all there in black and white
All the words that separate our lives
It's all there, wrong or right
But love falls between the lines
It's something you can't write
In black and white

I've told my friends, you've told yours
But opening and closing doors swing both ways
Is it too late

It's all there in black and white
All the words that separate our lives
It's all there, wrong or right
But love falls between the lines
It's something you can't write
In black and white

I sure do miss her since she retired. One extremely talented lady.Barbara seems happy though.

I'd ask for "You're Not Supposed To Be Here." From this same album, but you probably don't have it and it probably has surface noise and delayed time start for song.

    K.... M....

Kevin Macdonald No I don't have it and I can't help the noise or the start times. They were sent to me like that. Nobody else has complained about the songs.

I am a big fan of hers and have most of her albums between 1977 and 1986. She is one of my favorite singers and I wrote her a fan letter and got an autographed picture from her. She is a talented lady!!!

Another fantastic Kye Fleming/Dennis Morgan composition from 1982, one of 23 Top 20 country hits they wrote between 1978 and 1983

    Terrific song writing duo!

You are welcome, she is my all time favorite singer and I love this song. My name isn't Elizabeth, but I will take it since I love that name. It is a name of a woman I am a fan of! :)
