Bangles, The - Ask Me No Questions Lyrics

If I told you I don't mind
Would you believe me?
When I say to you, you're not my kind
Do I deceive you with this fragile disguise?
Ask me no questions
I will tell you no lies
If you could read my heart
I would not denySo but I'll pretend
All these tears on my face don't imply
That I'm not happy just to see you with her
One small voice that will never be heard
I'm in love with you
Oh, I'm in love with you
But I turn away when you look in my eyes
Ask me no questions
I'll tell you no lies
I'm in love with you

I'm in love with you
I'm in love with you
Trying to smile with a hole in my heart
No one knows I'm falling apart
I'm in love with you
I'm in love with you
But I turn away when you look in my eyes
ask me no questions
I'll tell you no lies
I'm in love with you

Bangles, The Ask Me No Questions Comments

I don't know who is playing on this track but it sure as hell isn't The Bangles.

    @hirowizard,
    1. Why are you cussing at me? I didn't cuss at you. I called you an idiot, but I didn't cuss at you.
    2. I'm a woman, not a man.
    3. You are seriously underestimating their ability to play music. Cause if your assumption were correct, then there's no way Vicki could play the lead guitar on their song 'Watching The Sky' from their album 'Everything', due to its Zepplin-like sound. And there would be no way Michael could have played acciustic rythemn guitar in the band she put together Crash Wisdom. And Michael especially couldn't have played bass on the live version of Snajefinger's 'Man In The Dark Sedan'Sedan' from '83, that was a gig played just before Michael joined the Bangles.
    4. You obviously know nothing about the Bangles. You couldn't even say how long the band had been broken up before they reunited in 2000.
    5. Do you even know what other instruments Vicki & Michael play?

@horowizard, What's wrong? No nasty comment after my last comment?
Your assumption that Vicki, Susanna, Debbie, & Michael are not playing any of the instruments on this song. Infers that not just these 4 ladies, but women in general , cannot be actual musicians, & play instruments as well as men.

@C B tazfisher14 Yes, when you call me an idiot for being on point about something that happens to be my livelihood and you will get the appropriate response. Let's then call it your sophomoric fantasy, shall we? It has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not they are women or men. Musicians come from all walks of life and I never once inferred, nor am I inferring that women or women in general can't play. I don't know where you got that. I'm not saying they can't play either because I've seen them and I know that they can. However, on this particular tune I can tell that it's different people for reasons stated above. The drumming doesn't sound anything like the other tunes in sound, style and feeling which is individual to players. I think you are just a blind fan that doesn't like to know the truth. That's OK if your beliefs make you happy. I'm in this business a long time now. I've made more than a few records and I know what I'm talking about. If you had any actual knowledge about how this music is made you wouldn't be making these comments. The information I have about how these records were made it will turn you on your ear.

@Bob Cannell I agree that they are accomplished and talented but it isn't them playing on this cut. Not everyone can play everything.

It probably is The Bangles. The reason things here are a bit different from their usual style is that here they are trying to emulate studio musicians. They are staying close to the original version of the track that Debbi recorded in the 90s for her duo Kindred Spirit with Siobhan Maher.
