Everyone should do that. My mom was in a medical induced coma, but i knew she could hear. The doctors came in with the depressing news that they didn't think she was going to make it, so i put my cd player on her ears bc i didn't want her to hear them, it was her favorite Clapton & she made a face & i knew she was happier. She needed a pacemaker & died in surgery with my headphones on.

After my mom died and my dad left, my older brother was all I had left. We started living in an abandoned house, and my brother started getting into archery. But after a while, my brother was killed by a Electric chicken, and I met a silver haired midget and a fellow high school student with a weird haircut. We became best friends, but then we started chasing after a hand loving serial killer, and I almost got killed by a flower. But after that, I won a lot of money from a lottery ticket, and started getting my life together again. I am now living together with The flower that almost killed me and my dad who is now slime monster, in my peaceful hometown.

My dad and I would sing this song when he'd take me with him in his old truck...i couldnt of been more than 5 yrs old then and Hed throw in the 8 track...and I'd belt those lyrics out so loud and he'd roar and laugh...My dad wasn't a huge laugher but looking back those were the best times of my life...he died when I was 13...I'm missing him today...this song makes me smile...See u on the other side Dad ❤

I commend you for having such a depth of SINCERE feeling for your Dad, because I'm something of a cynic and at least a 3rd or 2nd order skeptic about people still having real feelings for one another; especially for family members. I can relate to your feelings: I lost my Dad on Mar. 1, 1986. But I never got to see him before he passed away. No matter where I was in the world, even with 6 AM calls to my parents, (on their time)DAD & MOM were there on the end of the line. My sister called me the day Dad died; seemed like it was her appointed duty to be the bearer of bad tidings. No matter where I was in the world at the time (in the USAF) She WOULD "find me" & call. I quote you ; "Miss you always Dad. See you on the flip side." AMEN. "Any Day Now, I shall Be Released." from these worldly burdens.

They are still allowed the freedom, but those open areas of creation have pretty much closed up. So it's either repeat the past, or else-

My father's last night on earth was Dec 18 1997. I got the call he was being made to be comfortable. I walked in an knew it was going to the last night. This was one of his favorite songs. So I loaded my portable CD player and played this song using my headphones. I set the headphones are N top of his head. My father absolutely relished this song into his soul. This was a comfort that I could offer as it was my way of saying goodbye pops...he laid there smiling. It was an unexpecting surprise because very few people knew it was his favorite song. He passed away 4 hours. I hope that this song resonated through eternity though the outer limits of time. Miss you always Dad. See you on the flip side.
