The decade of the 80’s was lot of things. It was so unique & groundbreaking in countless ways. It was sometimes wonderful but then so damned terrible all too often. In Jimmy McShane’s case, it was unfortunately the worst time in history for him to have been relatively famous! Casual sex meant a horrible fate for gay men in this decade &, while so many were guilty of living recklessly in those times, they surely didn’t deserve what ultimately took their lives. It’s a real shame that we are left with only memories of these beautiful ghosts but their struggles also taught us valuable lessons!

Loved Jimmy McShane! Even though he wasn't the real singer, he had some awesome moves and he made Baltimora come alive. Such a shame he faded into obscurity and died from AIDS. I believe they have a monument in his honor at his hometown in Ireland.
