2 of the 3 things I don’t like about bad Religion has been fixed on this song. Griffins vocals. And the alternative song structure. They usually have the exact same structure for every song but finally made it work on this release!

A lot has changed and gone in the past 42 years but I can still enjoy those punk records I brought back then in 77 and I still enjoy listening to Bad Religion which to me just followed on with great punk music.

I'm almost certain that Greg is singing "anti-intellectual COMMANDS" (as opposed to demands) and (slightly less certain) "a CONSTRICT on privilege and wealth" (as opposed to "constant check"). But, as for the latter, he's probably saying "constant check" so fast that he's having trouble fitting the two together in the small space he has to say them.

I may not agree with particular message of some songs by Bad Religion but I fucking love it nonetheless. The music is great and who gives a fuck if I agree? I can at least contemplate the lyrics and my own world view. World is fucking complex. Who knows if they the ones who are right?

This is a true back-to-their-roots song from BR. Reminds me of tracks off Against the Grain with a hint of Empire Strikes First. Highly intellectual lyrics mixed with fast drums and melodic lead guitar give BR back its soul. It's the perfect comeback song.

People sometimes comment that Greg is too intellectual in the post Generator era. I disagree. Listen to tracks from Against the Grain and you'll find the big words and scholarly concepts have been there since the beginning.

I had a "street punk" tell me "i don't like Bad Religion cuz they use too many big words". I suggested that he crack open a few books. Oh, well, i guess dumb, drunk, and dirty is the only "real punk".

This is pretty bad too. Sounds like leftovers from Dissent of Man, one of their worst albums

listening to them since 1993 and i have to say this is boring as shit. Not to sound cliched but from 1980-1995 these guys were amazing, i just don't like anything from them after Stranger Than Fiction. A song here and there yeah were ok but thats about it... politics seem more forced even. An all time favorite band of mine for sure but not interested in a new album.
