@A2Z83 I guess that would be true in most cases accutaly, but I think I'm starting to get what AdamRainStopper is getting at. Many other punk rock bands are delivering statements on serious matters via music that imo sounds and feels casual, while BR really doesn't fit with that kind of approach to music. BR have a more clear sound and therefore the out-of-tune guittars would be an odd diversion from what one would be used to hear from BR.
But hey, no rule without an exeption!

Making a lot of money is not an indication of talent. Most big money making "artists" are digitally "auto-tuned". BR continue to progress as musicians, and pay attention to details (being in tune for instance). This recording is the exception not the rule.
Do you play an instrument? Define "out of tune"?
If all 6 strings are down 1/2-step, but the strings are in tune with each other, that is NOT what I'm talking about.

@OskarMGKruse Out of tune guitars don't sound good, it's not about overproducing something or trying to make it flawless, but BR always records like 4 or 5 guitar tracks layered one on top of the other so it has a thicker, denser texture and comes out sounding like that big wall of speaker cabinets you see behind the band. When one of those is out of tune, it won't be noticeable, but when several of them are, it ends up sounding like someone isn't putting their heart in to it.

I don't fucking care if something is out of tune. People with more talent than you'll ever have have made plenty of money recording music where they purposely made their guitar out of tune. The version I heard from some compilation was way way better than this album version.

Wow, if you play guitar or have a good ear, listen to this in headphones, one of the guitars is actually out of tune! I haven't listened to much of this album, but most of it is great, and I like this song, I've just never heard a BR song with out-of-tune instruments, even from live stuff. Please tell me you uploaded this from vinyl and the motor on the turntable is worn out (that can cause stuff to sound out of tune) or maybe from tape? I can't (and really don't want to) believe my ears, but...
