Bad Religion - Billy Gnosis Lyrics
A crack developed and a name blew in,
Billy Gnosis, weak and thin.
He moved to California to start a new life
Because back in his hometown he just killed his wife.
He started drinking early back then.
Then his brain became a factory,
For making chemicals that shouldn't be.
Oh Billy couldn't remember his name.
Billy Gnosis was going insane,
And soaked in blue light, he played and played.
I can still hear the sound he made...
Billy burned his phone and blew up his car.
He sat and watched t.v. and played the guitar
And read a book that made his head din,
How could he have known that there were worms within?
Through his eyes and through his ears they came.
They left a home so they multiplied,
And fed on Billy's chemicals in paradise.
Oh Billy couldn't remember his name.
Our unsung hero, has gone insane.
And soaked in blue light, he played and played.
The only thing that killed the worms like Raid.

Likewise.
How could he know that there worms within?
Have known that there
Sorry I stand corrected

embarrassing
Has a Beatles vibe and in some parts it sounds like the movie the wedding singer where Adam sandler is singing love sucks! And others join in when he puts the mike to them. 😂
Now this a he'll of a lot better than 'Million Days',, get rid of the keyboard would've helped! Nice track still a touch of soft rock can be heard
It sounds pretty much like early Green Day.
Love this lp
One of the best song I've ever heard. What? The album it's off of is one of the most paned albums ever. people are too scared to hear a band do new stuff their not used to.
psychedelic punk rock
I can't believe how different they sound here and how little credit this album gets. It's definitely much different than what I think of to be the BR sound but I just had no idea
when you really like a band/artist, anything they put out is cool. no one should "expect" anything from an artist. just lay back, enjoy, and be thankful for all they do. I fucking love you, Bad Religion!!!
I wasn't a fan of this album but i always make an exception for this kick ass song
somebody once told me .......
The world is gonna roll me
Reminds me of "Take The Money And Run" by the Steve Miller Band.
don't see it .but cool. may be the the got riff a bit
I agree with you, but it definitely sounds more like "Kow Kow" by Steve Miller Band.
MrPyko I totally thought the same thing. This has Steve Miller and a little eagles solo career vibes. By that I mean Walsh, but I'm not really too versed on the work of the band or the solo guys.
played last night in Chicago
I love it ! Please re release this Album ! In Gernany , on Cd
This really isn't that different from their usual stuff they released afterwards, its just played slower. The chorus melody is rather similar to many of the songs from the 'classic' albums. This is great music, but its hard to fathom why they went from How Could Hell Be Any Worse to this kind of style. It was only going to confuse the hell out their fans haha
Bad religion fans had it easy, being a fan T.S.O.L was fucking ridiculous
This album turned out to be one of my favorites of all time. I can't stop listening to it!
holy shit this song is good
The live version from last year actually wouldn't sound out of place on a new album. I think what makes it sounds so dated is the 80s synth.
it was genius :)
We're Only Gonna Die From Our Own Arrogance
you dont say
Billy went to, ooh,
Old El Paso,
That's when he ran into,
A great big hassle,
Billy Gnosis shot a man while robbing his castle,
Bobby Sue took the money and run.
haha that's what i was thinking.
Has a distinct Grateful Dead sound.
This album sounds about like any of their other. Just take the keyboards out and speed the song up and it would fit on any other album.
Fact is that some of their best songs made it on here. I think they sound really amazing with slower song structures.
Have you heard the 1983 live version of “its only over when?”
The album sucked & it was great. I keep my copy hidden from view.
sounds like the cars
bad religion altogether was ahead of their time
I don't think it was ahead of its time as it sounded a lot like early 70's bands actually, but I still like it as much as other BR albums. Funny how bands of today still try to emulate music like this.
despite their own hatred for this album, i like it; maybe it was just ahead of its time, although it is cheesy
esse album é podre. foi a única cagada do Bad Religion, mas ainda bem que logo depois veio Suffer, No Control e Against de Grain pra sepultar de vez essa bosta
The only thing I ever liked about BR was their first "How could hell..."; until now. This is good too!
